It's an EP, but still. My favorite AiC.

But it was a long EP.

    FO row peter puffer.

I could have gone with Superunknown. Jar of Flies is just ridiculous though. Thematically they didn't lighten up much, but the musical style is a total departure. AIC did not stagnate the least bit after Dirt which was a career defining release.

Fuck Weezer. Rivers Cuomo is a little midget bitch, he may even be too short to 69 godawgs91. In summation, I hope Rivers Cuomo sits on a pineapple and then a Chinese satellite lands on him.

Sure, he's a little midget Harvard bitch. But their first record was still wonderful.

I wouldn't rank "Dookie" the best if I heard it for the first time today, but man...back in middle school, when that album came out, it was the absolute tits.

It's got some catchy tunes. I don't think it holds up that well 26 years later though.

My GF loves Green Day, and her and I both have disdain for the others' musical taste. Therefore they suck.

Actually catchy is exactly right. They sound good in the background but bore me if I pay attention.

My answer would change all the time, but the Weezer album is great.

I think STP Purple was released in 94 too and is easily their best album and when they proved they weren’t really a knock off Grunge band.

I remember having a wife phase. I didnt care for it. They're not really that different except that I could leave anytime now without filing any court documents.

Yeah and whoeverput that idea in my head should be shot!

Actually the minute plus of excitement, when I grunted my son into the ex in the bathroom while guests sat in the living room passing the bong, is about the fondest memory I have of that experiment. I guess I dont regret it.

It's not that Dookie isn't a good record. It's fun and catchy but at the end of the day, it's too late 70's punk revivalist sounding to me. Put it on next to Nevermind and it sounds trite to my ear. Weezer's debut album was a much better synthesis of late 70's influences (e.g., Kiss, Cheap Trick, etc) into a new sound.

Blue album is the one I've listened to the most of the listed. All good.

Basketcase is probably the only song on that album that I liked when it came out, but don't really like today.

I like this one...probably can't get away with these lyrics today.

That combination is what makes it so great. Such a raw, yet catchy sound...couple that with the edgy lyrics, and it's always a good choice for blowing off steam when I leave the office in a bad mood.

I’m a rare Soundgarden fan that actually likes Down on the Upside better than their two first albums.

It was the first Soundgarden album I listened to and I used to ride to baseball games with my dad blasting it. Critics didn’t like it as much as I did tho.

I have a release-day double vinyl copy of that.
