Under Armour reportedly wants out of Cal deal too

UA said this in their statement:
“Under Armour has recently made the difficult decision to discontinue our partnership with Cal, as we have been paying for marketing benefits that we have not received for an extended time. The program has been repeatedly ranked too high” the statement started. “The agreement allows us to terminate in such an event and we are exercising that right.“ -

So with the inevitable banning of football in California altogether which G5 conference will UW join?

Under Armour bit off a little more than it could chew.
Under Armour had to overpay to entice schools from leaving more established companies like Adidas and Nike. Now, these schools are paying the price. There's a reason it's sometimes better to get less from an established brand. You are less likely to be impacted by financial burdens of said companies. -
Big 10. Having that last piece of the puzzle to sell. Tradition, facilities, city, academics and finally conference affiliation. The 9am, 12 and 3pm kickoffs would be pretty cool as well.UW_Doog_Bot said:So with the inevitable banning of football in California altogether which G5 conference will UW join?

This. Oregon and Washington jumping to the BIG 10 to make it 16 teams just makes sense.theknowledge said:

There would need to be a realignment of the B10 divisions.dnc said:

Here’s how they currently stand:
East Division: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.
West Division: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.
Push Purdue and Illinois to the East.
We? and the Ducks fight @Mad_Son and @PurpleBaze ’s Badgers for the West title.
*Edit: I personally don’t think this is realistic but as you say @dnc, it’s a fun doog fanfic. -
It will never happen butt it's fun to think about.Doog_de_Jour said:

If the season doesn’t happen Cal, Arizona, WSU, Colorado and Oregon State will all be in Big trouble. What makes more sense, consolidating what’s left of the west coast, or jumping to greener pastures? ASU, UCLA and Utah go to the Big12, USC goes independent and UW and Oregon go Big 10. Stanford either folds or goes independent, depends on how deep their pockets are. I’ve been dreaming of this for a couple years. The Pac 12 is a joke. The leadership, fans and media are so soft. Time for teams that give a shit to finally play with like minded folk.
