It is interesting to watch people pump the “skyrocketing new cases”
The high percent of asymptomatic cases and limited testing was pushing and inflated IFR before...
I’m not sure what a parroting simpleton does when confronted with the idea that a 100%+ increase in cases but no increase in hospitalizations is not only a massive decoupling of previously understood ratioed data sets but that it puts the hospitalization rate well below that of even the flu if the new numbers are to be believed.
The most obvious guess is that a change in classification or data collection techniques for cases is driving the change but if the numbers are being salted on the front side it will result in a self defeating argument on the backside with a lower hospitalization rate and IFR. -
