Remind me again, which party do these urban police unions usual support? This problem, just like the problems with the teachers unions and all other public employee unions is a Rat party created problem. But what about Trump!!!!WestlinnDuck said:
That's why we need to get rid of the police unions. No one in their right mind lets employees decide what they want to do and how to run their department. For some reason, dem cities have had decades to figure that out because they are the smart ones.RaceBannon said:
Boy that crystallizes the issue quite nicely. Us v Them. Tribe v Tribednc said:If there* goal is to convince people that violent criminal cops are just a few bad apples they're really, really bad at this.
From a psychological standpoint what the officers are doing is rational to them. That's why change is hard -
We sure police unions tend to vote/promote blue?SFGbob said:

I am ignorant on this topic so you could absolutely be right. I just know the small handful of police unions I've encountered were very red. And my expectation is that most police are very conservative.
Would legitimately love to be wrong on this. -
Rank and file tilt right, the Unions tilt left. You'll find a union that supports Republicans if it's a statewide union They give money to both parties but most of it goes to the Rats.dnc said:

They support police first. Like teacher's unions, police unions are cloaked in a moral armor that's tough to crack for any politician.dnc said:

Seeing the fucking police of all people succumb to some warped version of the bystander effect is pretty disheartening.dnc said:

The one holding the one back from checking on him is sick.
But the mass that walks right by the old man bleeding from his head that they just saw get thrown down is terrifying.
There's no defense for this shit. -
My experience is that small town cops definitely are. They tend to think off of experiences dealing with the absolute scum of society, so it is obviously worse by some magnitude for inner city cops. Being an inner city cop shouldn't be a career long thing because of this. At some point you are warped and no longer really serving your community.dnc said:
