Was listening to a video with Candace Owens and Larry Elder the other day - something I did not know: When slavery was abolished in England, the slave owners were compensated for their loss of property by the government (since slaves at the time were lawful property). Elder argued that if anyone has a claim for money from the US government, it should be the descendants of the slave owners - because they had their property unlawfully confiscated without renumeration.

It was an interesting take. Didn't say I agree with it - and especially interesting that two African-Americans were speaking so forcefully AGAINST reparations. Don't twist.

As I've said before, anyone with ancestral damage claims from the slavery era that continue to cause them harm today can make and prove their claims. I don't think that's an unmanageable process or number.
