It's political, It's clear as a bright, sunny, covid lock down morning that it has been all along on the West Coast. Inslee and Newsom have future Presidential aspirations and are slaves to the backers of the DNC.
They both have either encouraged or set forth impossible metrics to achieve for reopening anytime soon. We've seen the Dems try to sneak in unconscionable amounts of dollars of unrelated pork for their social, climate initiatives in all of the stimulus packages. We have seen California underlings in Congress propose UBI for 2 years with a lock down in place.
They are the nightmares that the supposed edgelords have been warning us about. Unless someone with a bigger stick stands them up, they will continue their tyrannical rule until their's nothing left and the Government is the only paycheck to be found in their states.
Oregon has it a little better just because of hardly any deaths. And I don't think Kate has the stomach or interest to go into national politics after her term limit ends in 2022.

Was listening to a video with Candace Owens and Larry Elder the other day - something I did not know: When slavery was abolished in England, the slave owners were compensated for their loss of property by the government (since slaves at the time were lawful property). Elder argued that if anyone has a claim for money from the US government, it should be the descendants of the slave owners - because they had their property unlawfully confiscated without renumeration.TurdBomber said:

It was an interesting take. Didn't say I agree with it - and especially interesting that two African-Americans were speaking so forcefully AGAINST reparations. Don't twist.
