Sark is like a kid on a video game who doesn't really care if he wins just so long as he get's to play his game within the game.

It's ironic that Sark's 3 biggest traits he looks for in players - competitiveness, effort, and energy - are traits he lacks himself. You generally get players with traits that you share, so it's no surprise that he fills out his team with players that as a whole get plungered 3 times a year.
