It's not that fucking hard to understand. If we're in a position to land Daniels, it's a complete no brainer. If he were to win the job, good for him and the program. If he gets beat out, that's cool too, and likely a good sign that someone stepped up.
Either way, it raise the competition level and makes the room better. If someone transfers, so be it. But you worry about that shit later. Something about a bird, a hand and some bushes. You take the body. These doogman fucktards... what if ___ transfers then?!?! Well, we have 3 bodies right now and 4 would still be too few. So if someone transfers, then we won't be any worse off than we are currently. But this what if game is for fucking pussies. Are Oregon fans weeping for cale Millen? I'm all for throwing him into the 2021 mix for a short time before he hits the portal.
It's not going to matter, because there wont be one, but it'd be great to have him compete with Morris, Sirmon and Garbers this season. -

Do the JT Daniels naysayers realize that he's only played one season as a true freshman and he was like 13 years old? I'd throw him into the 2020 QB mix 11 times out of 10. All our other quarterbacks haven't even played college football. Fucking Christ.

On one hand I'd absolutely take Daniels just for QB depth, but him coming in likely means one of our QB's transferring at some point. Trying to keep more than 3 on a roster is a challenge at this point.

I don’t see much if any reason not to take him. The only reason you wouldn’t is if you thought he could easily be beaten out by Sirmon and also that if he did transfer here Sirmon would have a meltdown and throw himself back into the portal. Seems like a pretty narrow and unlikely set of likely circumstances. Also I’ve seen it suggested that it would somehow put a chasm between them and Sam Huard, and I think that’s a pretty fucking dumb take.

There is a very real chance we have the worst or one of the worst QB situations in the PAC 12. Of you can’t even play decent against Woodinville, you aren’t doing it in the PAC 12.
We wanted the guy from Wake Forrest. Daniels probably has more potential than he does. I would bring Daniels in if we can, and let it sort out.
