The Huskies trailed 19-14 with 1:15 to go in the game. The Dawgs were driving right toward us. Quarterback Cody Pickett dropped back to pass, pump faked, and then threw up the right sideline. Corey Williams made a diving catch as he fell into the end zone. Husky Stadium erupted in sheer bedlam.
It is my understanding that there was offensive pass interference on the play.
-
The Huskies should have been penalized for excessive celebration after that play.

The Kewgs in the row behind me wanted to fight after I taunted them with "you COUGED it!! you COUGED it!!" and made choking gestures. Only my row boat peter puffer stature deterred them.PurpleBaze said:The Huskies should have been penalized for excessive celebration after that play.

I was there with my mom and some sod busting coog behind us gave me shit for 58 minutes.
How about those Coogs! How about those Coogs!
As Worley was running the pick 6 back I turned around and gave him the look
When Spider caught the ball I turned around and
HOW ABOUT THOSE HUSKIES!
To be fair he actually took it like a man. -
The 4th down pick up on that drive was incredible. Pickett completed that pass in a collapsing phone booth.

I may or may not own one of those gay Husky construction hard hats. Bought it at @Tequilla Club off the Ave in like 97 give or take. I happened to wear it to the 2001 Apple Cup. All game long those dirty CUOGs were going "Another Kewger 1st Down!". I turned around to give them a dirty glare and they yelled "Nice Hard Hat!!". It was game on at that point. -
Here’s my Lambo story:
In 1981 as a high school senior Lambo was my lead recruiter to play for the UW at inside LB. had an offer, did a couple trips to the UW including dinner at Coach James on my official. Loved Lambo and he got me fired up about the possibility of getting coached by him.
Long story short after a knee injury in the 4th game of my senior year he and they cooled on me. I remember him coming for two more visits after that. One at my school and another at my folks house. Both times he asked me if I still thought i could run 4.7. Both times I said “no doubt “. Then they cooled on me and ended up taking fucking Tim Meamber who obviously is paying for taking my spot with drug addiction in his post playing career. I called Lambo when it was all said and done and thanked him and always enjoyed chatting with him at games and through the years. Ended up having several other PAC offers (WSU, cal, Oregon ) but chose the Beavers because I bought avezzanos line of shit about how his new staff was gonna turn it around and didn’t want to go to WSU or Oregon.
Always liked Lambo until I heard the domestic stuff toward the end.
Hence I’m a husky fan until the beavs ever get it together.
CSB I know. God I’m old. -
So you were on the legendary 1985 Beaver team?
That's pretty good revenge right there you know -

Actually a really cool story.TrumpsWall said:Here’s my Lambo story:

When I had my legendary meeting with TYy in his office that we were working on I had our field guy with me who was really big. He was an offensive tackle in high school and James stashed him in a JC because his grades were excellent for his future in floor covering but not so much for college. Even with all the help back then he couldn't qualify and I guess he wasn't good enough to take anyway.
At any rate Ty is telling the kid he looks like he could still play and does he have any eligibility. Made his fucking month.
These guys are good in person generally speaking. It is why I said Ty was a good guy in person. Because he was -
I once met Ty with my buddy who was a recruit. He used the same line I heard Pete use later. “Practice is never good because one side of the ball always does better.”RaceBannon said:When I had my legendary meeting with TYy in his office that we were working on I had our field guy with me who was really big. Tormey was more interested in talking to me about an upcoming catholic school football game I had than talking to the recruits.
Romar thought I was a walk on recruit or somebody that he had to talk to as well. All in the same day. -
You must be slightly larger than the average Asian to get that kind of attention.RoadDawg55 said:

I’m 6’2”, so yes, larger than the average Asian. Romar came up and asked me if some random basketball recruit (I forget who) was coming to practice after some campus tours. I looked at him and didn’t know what to say.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

It was a fun story at the time. Looking back it shows Romar didn’t give a shit and was very lazy to not even know who he had visiting on campus. -
When I was hanging with Ty and his office I had free range so I took a trip down the legendary tunnel and out on the field where some guys were working harder than ever that spring
Came back in and Romar was there and this was peak Romar Sweet 16 the savior. He wasn't as nice as Ty. -

Word on the street was that Lambo killed 5 hookers while in Texas.

I’ve never likes the o/u being 5. That allows for a push, so that bet doesn’t exist. 5.5 should be the number. Lambo is still under in my book.salemcoog said:Word on the street was that Lambo killed 5 hookers while in Texas.

Didn't say he was a good QB. Don't twist. -
Woodinville had a basketball player named Lance Coomar who was 5'10". Then he went off to study at Michigan. I saw him three years later at the Tacoma Dome. He was suddenly 6'4". He said his dad called it "wasted height" because of the late growth spurt after his playing days were over.RoadDawg55 said:
