Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.

For all of you that have mocked Oregon for not having self service gas (you know you have)

I’m sure glad I don’t have to pick up a damned gas pump that has been used by hundreds of other people. 😁

I am, over 70 with underlying health conditions. So that’s one more thing I don’t have to worry about. I also like to sit my lazy ass down in my seat and listen to music while someone else pumps my gas AND...........not get bacteria, virus and gasoline all over my hands but to each his own.

If one loves to pump his own gas have at it.

If you’re getting gasoline all over your hands when you pump gas, you’re doing it wrong.

Also, do you just not pay for your gas or are you still handing him your card which he will touch and hand back?

Gas nozzles without any gas spilled on them by others. Those are amazing places you have been going to. Credit cards? Wow what a danger. Can’t clean them. I use cash and wash my hands. It sounds like you just enjoy pumping your own gas. Hey If you like getting out in the rain and cold to pump your own gas. Have at it. Like I said to each his own. If you are arguing that pumping your own gas doesn’t expose you more than not you are a moron.

“With the worldwide spread of COVID-19 or the coronavirus and two cases in Utah, many are going to great lengths to avoid the spread of germs in public places. Several studies suggest that pumping gas could put you at risk of catching the virus.

According to UPI news, a study conducted by Kimberly-Clark Professional showed that gas pumps are among the germiest surfaces in American cities. The study found that 71 percent of gas pump handles were found to have high levels of contamination.”

Germiest place in America? The gas pump

“In research results released Tuesday, Gerba found that 71% of gas pump handles and 68% of corner mailbox handles are “highly contaminated” with the kinds of germs most associated with a high risk of illness.”

Those that should be embarrassed Owl are those that refuse to see the truth. Worse yet are those that argue against it. I always hoped since you spent time in conservative Klamath Falls there might be hope for you but alas that is dimming.

Maybe it is rooted in your juvenile feeling of inadequacy, that you just don’t measure up to the education, knowledge and experience of many that have lived longer than yourself. Their are names for people that have distaste for whole groups of people that you have never met......a relatively mild one of them is ignorant.

I have been through experiences that I have learned from that you would never have survived. I feel lucky to be here.

This has been enlightening. People love to pump their own gas and others have animosity for other people simple because they are old. 🤔

Education? Rich coming from an Oregonian.

Congrats on avoiding the gas pump and living in the safety of handing cash to someone who's touched hundred of other hands on the same day.
Congratulations for an incoherent post. If I’m handing cash to someone what difference does it make how many hands he has touched?

Care to explain you education comment?

You must have missed all the links and studies I presented on the filth of gas pump handles. But eschewing information presented to you leads to ignorance and stupid little supercilious and inane comments I have become accustomed to expect from you.

I linked to a study that you obviously didn’t read. As usual pulling out the logical fallacy gambit rather than coming up with logical criticism is normal for you.

I guess you don’t really pay attention. Maybe you have ADHD like Owl.

I linked to an ABC piece, a Reuter’s piece and an LA Times piece you moron.
