His voice IRL is a couple octaves deepertheknowledge said:Anyone think Baseman/DB Cooper sounds like Kirk Herbstreit? I couldn't separate his voice from the picture in my head. Thats weird because as we all know KH works for ESPN and they never talk about the Pac 12 let alone our wayward Washington Huskies unless something stupid or embarrassing happens. Nice work gentleman. Can't wait for the second one.

Sonny wasn’t terrible. Should have been a #4 instead of a #1, but he was one of the better offensive players for Ty and one of the few that wouldn’t be completely out of place on a decent to good team.Baseman said:
Bless your heart Sonny. You couldn’t separate on the field but we separate you from Ty’s regime, on and off the field.SonnyShackelford said:Good chit fellas. Perfect blend of vitriol, historical context, and insider knowledge. Thanks

Turned out he was the crown jewel of RNs 57 WR class.RoadDawg55 said:

Good pood. Especially liked the story of the big booster troll calling the coach.
Sadly, A Coug coach never had to worry about that. No TBS shit is a good pood. -
Someday I'll tell the stories of when Herb tracked down the recently-hired Steve Sarkisian.salemcoog said:Good pood. Especially liked the story of the big booster troll calling the coach.

Really high production values. Kudos for no alien rape chamber like those shitty BDTW pods. Everything matters at Hardcore Husky!!
@Baseman has a great "radio" voice.
Rapp-gate at the Rose Bowl really was a turning point for the program. It's been downhill ever since. Fuck. -

I liked the intro. Derek you say you might be ready to start dooging and open your heart back up to the Huskies again on the boards then call for a 5 loss season?

That's our DAWGS. The last original thought was in 1989 and even that was copying the Chicago Bears

Sark running elements of Chips offense reset

I would have thought LSU spread the ball around a lot, but they threw to four guys, two of them getting probably 75% of the targets.salemcoog said:

The shit that pissed me off about Sark was that he was always quoted about how his offense had stood the test of time. Then he blatantly copied Oregon. It did make the offense a lot better and was the right move, but still.RaceBannon said:Sark running elements of Chips offense reset

It's going to be tough for a freshman quarterback to go into Salt Lake and get a W in a high school stadium against a no-talent program that just lost everyone?
el oh el -
Alright pods, Baseman and I will be recording the next pod on Tuesday night.

Seriously. Utah is gonna suck next year.haie said:It's going to be tough for a freshman quarterback to go into Salt Lake and get a W in a high school stadium against a no-talent program that just lost everyone?

Goddamn it never ends. Taylor Rapp was injured. Or did he deliberately sabotage his pro day #s also

Baseman gatekeeping the 3rd quarter Husky legend ceremony that 50% of the attendees miss getting back from the Zone was something that happened.Gladstone said:Goddamn it never ends. Taylor Rapp was injured. Or did he deliberately sabotage his pro day #s also

He quit to get ready for the draft (see his own words below)
Rapp said that during the training he has done in the past three months at the EXOS Athletes’ Performance Institute in Phoenix – including preparation for the NFL Scouting Combine – he was “tracking 4.5, slowest 4.6, even on a laser time, not even hand time like at the pro day.”
‘Even after the combine, pre-pro day, I was tracking 4.5, the slowest was low 4.6s’
“Anybody can go talk to the trainers out there, and they’ll tell you the same thing,” Rapp said. “And then even after the combine, pre-pro day, I was tracking 4.5, the slowest was low 4.6s. I don’t know. It is what it is, I ran what I ran. There’s nothing I can do about it now.
“I’m never one to make an excuse, but I’ll just say turn on the tape and the tape speaks for itself. I play fast, I’m never out of position. I’m always making tackles, never missing a tackle, never getting beat, never out of position. So I would just say look at the tape … I think that’s all that matters.”
Karma -
should he have said 'draft me guys, i'm injured lulz' instead?

The millionaire coach quit before the Rose Bowl, but some of you want to be mad at the star player that took care of his injury to secure his future...
OK! -
Actually both have come under considerable scorn here.ThomasFremont said:The millionaire coach quit before the Rose Bowl, but some of you want to be mad at the star player that took care of his injury to secure his future...

Hope this helps -
It’s somewhere in the middle. He could have, and should have tried to tough it out. Former players talked about seeing him practice. Pete supposedly talking to him before half time was another red flag.Gladstone said:Goddamn it never ends. Taylor Rapp was injured. Or did he deliberately sabotage his pro day #s also
He could have been hurt. He wasn’t so hurt that he couldn’t have played. I don’t hate him like some here, but he deserves some flak.
