    Imagine thinking that someone wants to fix the homeless problem and kill the 700 million dollar golden goose.

    Nobody wants to fix any fucking problem. That's the problem.

    Problems are money. And money is graft if you know how to play the game and aren't worried about what a cunt you are.

    So yeah, nobody is fixing any problem. You gotta find a workaround.

    This.

    It's the working middle class that are effected by high priced housing

    The government can't solve that either. They caused it

    How did the government cause the high priced housing issue? Isn't it just a matter of supply and demand?

    Yes but Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac contributed by increasing the supply pool. And the Fed lowered the interest rates which made payments lower, which inherently increases the price of the house. And lowered restrictions in banks increased the pool of money to lend as well.

    Government didn't "cause it", but they had their hand in some of the reasons for high housing prices.

    We could deal with the homeless problem over night but lack the political will to do so.

    {Eating Popcorn}

    Can't wait to hear this one.
    You invite each homeless person into your house and offer to blow them.
    I'm sure you, your wife and children have removed dozens of men from the streets with this technique, but what about homeless women and children. You must have an alternate plan?

    Government causes high prices because of regulation. Largely zoning and transportation regulation. The Portland metro area has a strict urban growth boundary which drives up land prices. Toss in the fact that we haven't had a major highway expansion since the 1970s. No new bridges since the I-205 bridge in 1982. Toss in the crappy public school systems and then you get island oasis of intact families who do care about education like West Linn and Lake Oswego in the Portland suburbs. Both areas are totally built out. Both are adjacent to the urban growth boundary.

    Are you being serious or mocking the tug leftists? I think the later.
    Well there is plenty to mock

    That's local government, not federal government. If you want "freedom", move to Kansas. I hear they have low taxes and huge growth is coming any day now.

    Would be a good idea if that would stop a growing problem. But if you leave food out for the rats, you get more rats. That's what the leftards have been doing for the homeless and then seemed shocked that the problem is getting worse.
