my sister and her hubby had the same - they vacation and arrive at their destinations by separate modes of transportation. Kids split with the parents.

Yet of course no issue piling into a car together. Which people are infinitely more like to in than a plane -
on a couple of vacations I did the same - but that was because I didn't want to listen to girl talk - guys in one, girls in the other
