So why did Burisma hire Hunter Biden?

O'Keefed screwed up his courage enough to lightly rap Hunter on the knuckles and concede that he was trading on his dad's name. But why would Burisma hire him in the first place? What were they getting out of the deal? We know what Hunter was getting, but what benefit was Burisma getting from hiring Hunter?

And spare me the GDS cock suck that they were getting a highly qualified lawyer who was well qualified to overlook high level contracts and business negotiations.

    One reason is so they could use his name/connections to lobby the state department to get Ukraine to back off investigating Burisma. At least that's what some FOI emails showed.

    Gosh, if Burisma was using the fact that Hunter was on the BOD in order to proclaim their innocence and vouch for their lack of corruption, that sure seems like more than O'Keefed's sword swallowing act on behalf of Hunter where he dismissed the hire as nothing more than Hunter trading off his name.

    An independent board is not required.
