John Donovan named OC

Maybe Lake had Moorehead and Donovan confused. Word was he’d go after an OC that he struggled to defend against. He must have forgot which OC he faced. It’s hard.

edit: the clock was stopped at 53 seconds -
The o line was young. It’s hard.

You can't expect Jimmy to win with PETE'S players.PurpleBaze said:

- First year HC
- New OC
- New QB
- ...and many others they'll think of. -
This is equivalent to promoting paopao to OC.

Jimmy got himself a fall man

I’m calming down a tiny bit because this guy wasn’t horrible at Vanderbilt. It’s still a F hire. No reason for it.
Jimmy wants to X’s and O’s it up and play like a NFL team. A dated NFL team at that. -

You know what is easier than being a 1st year HC hiring an OC?
Being a 2nd year HC hiring your 2nd OC because you had to fire your first OC hire because you went 6-6 with a sh!tty, uber-talented offense.
FML...this would be funny if it wasn't so sad. The last day has been the epitome of UW athletics...the BB team losing a game they were up 13 in and then the football team with the foundation it has in talent and coaches with what Peterman built and the #1 QB in the nation coming in next year hiring a retread failed OC literally NOBODY else was interested in.
Guess its payback for making all the Helton jokes.
And f!ck Jen Cohen while we are at it. You think any football-minded AD would have signed off on this hire before putting their coach through the ringer? She's as much responsible for this as Jimmy, and if it fails they both need go. -
Former players trust the coaches and AD. Film at 11
Not doing much to eliminate the stereotype of the dumb jock -

Goodbye Emeka. Goodbye Troy. Goodbye Julien. Goodbye Jonathan Taylor Thomas. We hardly knew ye.

I’m doused in gasoline but holding off on lighting the match. My Pollyanna approach is merely based on the fact that it seems as though Ray Donovan is no one to be messed with. It’s the other Donovans — especially Mick — who always fuck things up. So long as Bunchy and his fucktarded ways and Terry with his Parkinson’s shakes stay away, the offense will have a chance.RoadDawg55 said:I’m calming down a tiny bit because this guy wasn’t horrible at Vanderbilt. Ray Ray is an old school run first kind of guy, who likes tight ends (who doesn’t?) and QBs who are tuff. So yeah, LIPO, then I’ll light the match after Michigan beats us 34-6. -
Saquon rushed for over 1000 yards at 5.9 per carry in 2015. And these weren’t fluke ypc numbers achieved by a backup he was carrying the load. 20 carries per game against the top five defenses they faced (Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Georgia, Northwestern) he just didn’t get time in the opener and he missed the SDSU and Army games.TripleRainbowDawg said:"It’s been pointed out but Saquon wasn’t the difference between Donovan and Moorhead in 2015 and 2016."
Not just Saquon - who added 400 yards to his freshman rushing total - but also Trace McSorely, who in 2016 emerged as the starter, broke the PSU single-season passing record, and wound up on Heisman ballots along with Lamar Jackson. I've read here that his predecessor, Hackenberg, "couldn't throw a football." That seems like a stretch for an NFL draftee, but I'd agree that McSorely was an obvious upgrade.
2016 he got 90 more carries because he played four more games not because his role was different. Actually had lower ypc.
Hackenburg had his faults but he was a second round NFL draft pick. One wonders what competent coaching could have done for him.
2016 was an amazing turnaround on all levels and it’s hard to say how much credit was due to McSorely vs Moorhead. But McSorely regressed the next two years and was actually pretty bad as a senior without Moorhead in 2018.

There is a probable scenario forming were he could be next year...its not like Jimmy is going to be able to hire anybody good at OC next year if this experiment fails. And as much as I love #FaithFamilyFootball we are already on borrowed time on Helton leading the mighty men of Troy.RaceBannon said:

It would be devastating if somehow Donovan got implicated in the pedo scandal
Ray Donovan could do that -
I know the coaching carousels occur with greater frequency but when I see a resume like this I file it in the TBNT file.UWhuskytskeet said:There is a new Slingblade in town:
