I'd also argue his mastery of the wildcat made us over reliant on it and our chinability to make adjustments and realize not everyone is Gaskin cost us dearly.

Just saying while we win more games with Gaskin this year than we did, I think we still *could* have won those games without him. One of the innumerable ways the coaching staff failed this year is by not realizing that some of what Gaskin did was irreplaceable and we'd need to tweak the scheme without him.

I think there's a good argument that John Ross 2016 was the most valuable season any Husky has put up since Tui 2000, and perhaps Empterman 1991.

Can you even imagine a 3 year starter (or even 4) Tui from 20(15)16- 18? His legs alone have beaten Stanford, ASU, Cal and Oregon in 2017- 18 and probably won a NY6. Tui was the greatest big dick, dual threat we've ever had in my life time.

Tui was super turnover prone and good at making huge mistakes before his senior year. I don't know that four years of Tui would have been all that much better than what we just witnessed. Whatever year was Senior Tui would have been magical*, though.










*Except that there's no reason to believe this staff would have adjusted the offense to play to his strengths. This is the one thing RN doesn't get nearly enough credit for regarding 2000, IMO. He junked the scheme that got him the job because the QB had a different skill set. That humility and flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to win is what makes me love RN always and forever.

Hell, would Tui have ever even started at QB under Pete?
