I like that we get the last visit, but parents went to Utah, he lives in Utah, and he’s retweeting Ute fans.bananasnblondes said:
I'm hoping this goes the way of Molden or McDuffie where it's a given they are headed to another school but then they visit UW and are blown awayRoadDawg55 said:It sucks, but he’s going to Utah.

Yeah I'm not confident in Carlton like I was with Latu. It actually made sense for Latu to come to UW, USC was/is a dumpster fire.
Utah is actually good, they develop defensive players, and he has ties to the University. We have some advantages, but if I was a Utah fan I would be rationally upset if Carlton went to UW. -
well....Utah is graduating their whole team and right now has the worst recruiting class in the Pac-12. I would look at the long term aspect. This yeah was Utah's shot and they blew it. I see them going back to the the dumpster next yearNeighbor2972 said:Yeah I'm not confident in Carlton like I was with Latu. It actually made sense for Latu to come to UW, USC was/is a dumpster fire.

This. It was Whittinghams 16 year plan to lose the title game. They are done.BeerThirty said:

Sure you would, you’re a UW fan. From Carltons perspective his parents have probably told him most of his life how underappreciated Utah is and how they are building towards something special. I’m sure that attitude in Utah is “they just picked the wrong week to come out flat” much moreso than “they just got exposed”.BeerThirty said:

Utah is definitely in the drivers seat here.
UW has a five star publicly recruiting him though, that’s one thing Utah can’t provide.
If I had to put in a CB right now I’d go Utah but it ain’t over yet. If he makes that visit we have a real shot. -
Xavier and his family are coming up. That’s a good sign. I know his parents are alumni but when talking about your child your allegiance is going to be to your child. I think Utah is the sentimental choice but UW is the logical choice.
If there’s one thing that has been a perennial letdown it’s the Utah offense. If Utah’s offense is just a few players stronger they’re potentially in the Playoffs. Carleton is a defensive player but visibility is key. I think our UW offensive talent is potentially very good. Our Defense is going to be very good. The UW is going to be in the limelight for the next few years with competitive teams. -
We could call him the X Man

They picked up a grad transfer QB from South Carolina, but other than that it’ll be a huge step back for them next year. Majority of their defense is gone, Moss and and Huntley are gone. Their O-Line was a dumpster fire against Oregon.BeerThirty said:

Of all the tough road games UW has to play in 2020, Utah doesn’t scare me as much as USC/Oregon/Cal -

Utah will keep being tough and competitive and keep fielding defenses better than most of the league. They've already shown they dont need high end recruiting to do that.NEsnake12 said:

Their 10 year plan, which was never guaranteed to work but almost did, was to develop a QB who could put the offense on his back in key moments. Huntley finally reached that stage. Unfortunately for them he's finally dying of old age. It's gonna take a while, like 10ish years, before they manage it again. -
They are solid and will continue to be. Every now and then they will go 6-6 or 10-2. Most years 8-4. A tough game, especially on the road but nothing special.chuck said:

Hmmmm. Seems Clay hasn’t let go of Clancy Pendergast yet.
Now ask yourself why? -
I want this kid to come to UW so bad. He’s going to be great if he does.

talk about flipping the script.
This time the cardboard cutout is Carlton... same fucking clothes and look in every picture.

Have fun losing at Utah!

FFS. Ending with 0 DL this class is a problem that’ll be felt in 3 years

If he canceled his trip, then we weren't nearly as close to getting him as some people thought. Best case scenario at this point would be for him to not sign next week.
