USCFootball.com publisher Ryan Abraham confirmed that Harrell has also interviewed for the UNLV head coaching job.

Chip Brown, of our fellow network site Horns247, reported on Wednesday morning that USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell interviewed for the head coaching job at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) on Monday in Dallas. USCFootball.com's Gerard Martinez confirmed that Harrell was in the area for recruiting. New USC offensive tackle commit Casey Collier, who lived in Barbers Hill (TX), posted a picture with Harrell on Wednesday.

"We were told Harrell interviewed for the vacant UTSA head-coaching job on Monday in Dallas," wrote Brown. "But it’s unlikely UTSA could pay Harrell as much as he’d earn at Texas. Former UTSA coach Frank Wilson was earning just more than $1 million, when Wilson was let go in the last week."

It will be hilarious when he jumps from OC at USC to OC at Texas after 1 year

“JT is definitely staying,” Daniels’ father Steve told 247Sports. “He’s happy for Clay and has a great relationship with him but to be honest, no matter what happened with the coaching situation, JT was going to stay and compete. He loves it at SC, he has an SC tattoo on his leg so he’s pretty committed to the program.

“He's a very competitive kid and has never run from a challenge before. Kedon played really well and JT was happy for him but at the same time, JT is a competitor and once he’s back to 100%, he wants to compete for that job.”

Daniels said his son’s recovery and rehab has been going very well.

“He had the surgery in September and his goal is to make it back in 10 months,” Daniels said. “He’s doing double time in his rehab, every morning and again after school. Then he goes out and catches an hour of practice just to stay connected with the team and be supportive of the players.

“He’s very excited though and so driven, I’ve never seen him more motivated before. He obviously won’t be back by spring ball but if it’s a 10 month recovery, that puts him back by July and in time for fall camp. He’s going to be supportive and a great teammate regardless like he was this past year but he’s excited about the opportunity as well so we’ll see what happens.”

Daniels reclassified from the 2019 cycle to join a loaded 2018 crop that included Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. As USC’s second-ever true freshman starter in ‘18, he threw for 2,672 yards (59.5% completion) with 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Daniels ended that season on a scorching note, with 349 yards on 37-for-51 passing in a 24-17 loss to playoff-bound Notre Dame.

It’s gotten to the point where USC TBS reporters are openly bashing the players. What’s the opposite of an offseason natty?

    Offseason Owen?

I hope Scott Wolfe survives the off season

Wolfman's bidness model only makes money when USC sucks.

He wants you think he's mad, but he's in fucking heaven.

So.... Got some juicy details on USC keeping Helton while sleuthing other boreds. Apparently an administrator on a secret conference call wanted the real story leaked.

Check the WAM for full access, but here are the bullet points:

    - 2 hour early am call Wednesday with Folt, COTB of Trustees, and major donors who bankroll USC athletics on why Folt told Bohn he could not fire Clay Helton and would announce his safety later that day.

    - Donors had been working on high-profile coaches for the USC job, coming to a momentary agreement with Urban Meyer to USC – a contract paying Urban $9.4 million a year.

    - Folt publicly stated she would not be involved in the process. But multiple sources had conveyed that Folt was not in favor of hiring Urban Meyer and he was abandoned.

    - Donors then also qualified former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops’ interest and he appeared a possibility as well. Both backed off because Stoops wanted to clean house.

    - USC didn't want that because Tuesday a report came out that the Varsity Blues scandal was not complete and more names will come out. That was when the decision was made that with this impending development, it was not the time for USC to go out and hire a high-profile football coach.

    - Bohn had been promised the power to make the call on the coach, and is now getting blamed for keeping Helton. He also has an AD with people still involved in Varsity Blues that he can't fire.

Graham Harrell was offered a 3 year deal at $6.5 mil to be the Texas OC.

He has continued recruiting for USC, and insiders feel confident he is going to stay put.

I'm interested to see what the hell happens to USC's class. Right now they have 9 commits, all 3 stars by 247. Of which, 5 are offensive lineman, and 1 is a kicker.

Its not like there are just a lot of guys sitting out there for them to get, they are going to have to scramble to throw this class together.

    Just so we're counting,
    Chris Petersen resigning: 0 Decommitments
USC retaining Clay Helton: 2 Decommitments

i don't see it that way at all.

i see a couple of low 3 star guys "decommitting and opening up their recruitment" = the annual U$C kicks them to the curb and starts the real recruiting cycle that gets them in the top 15 recruiting classes annually.
