We won’t hire him, but who gives a shit? He calls plays. That’s it.backthepack said:
Jesus christ... do you forget what he did at Baylor?BroadcastingDawg said:How about Kendal Briles?
Coached some high-powered O's at Florida Atlantic, Houston and Baylor... was hired by Florida St. but his future is uncertain after Taggart got canned and Mike Norvell was hired. Norvell calls his own plays, could leave the door open for Briles looking elsewhere.
His issue is he was on the Baylor staff during some of the bad stuff that happened under his dad... some FSU fans weren't happy with the hire because of it. -

He doesn’t kick players off the team. He calls plays. I get he was connected to it in some way, but that’s it.AtomicDawg said:

Considering how much more god awful Arizona has been without Rich Rod he might not be a horrific option. Although Kevin Sumlin might also just be cashing a check and not even trying, so who knows if that’s a good barometer.

"Offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, widely considered Riley’s most valuable position coach, has a new two-year contract that bumps him from $625,000 to $750,000 beginning next season."
I really wonder if UW is willing to pony up 1.25+ mil for someone like him.
What is a approximate "savings" UW gets with Pete stepping down and the promotion of Lake to HC? Should be plenty of money available with Lakes old salary + Bush salary

Let's promote Jimmy because Ryan Day and Lincoln Reilly
Let's hire Joe Crowder because Joe Burrow
Let's not have an original thought let's just keep doing the flavor of the month
Let's replace Petersen's offense with the New Orleans Saints' offense. That should simplify things. We just need Skinny to get athletic and learn how to read a defense or whoever else is there
UW has no identity and needs to decide to be HUSKY FOOTBALL. Smash your face in and throw it over your rotting corpse.

So pete was earning about 4.5 mil, Jimmy was earning 1.5, bush fleeces a half mil per year. All of that adds up to 6.5 million gone, and hopefully gone. Subtract 3 million from Jimmy’s new salary and you’re left with about 3.5 million, minus whatever they pay Pete in his new role as spiritual advisor. We should be able to outspend most teams for an OCHouhusky said:

Briles allegedly told a Dallas-area high school athlete “Do you like white women? Because we have a lot of them at Baylor and they love football players.”
...
Briles (...) has never been proven to have had any knowledge of wrong doing at Baylor.
Sounds like his ass is covered, and he knows how to pitch the sizzle kids love. -
