Solid end to the first half. We withstood 4-9 from San Diego from the 3. And most importantly, Jaden finally looks comfortable.

Quade Green may be one of the most overrated PGs since Abdul Gaddy

That’s fine. He’s under control and gets the ball to his playmakers.

And the rest of the game he travels and throws it out of bounds.

Baylor beating Nova further legitimizes the Dawgs. Tonight definitely a step in the right direction, but we still seem sloppy with the ball and when faced with the pressure better athletes can bring it could get ugly really fast (like Tenn).

Two more tune ups before Gonzaga in what should be a crazy hec Ed atmosphere.

Funny how people on here seem to be down on Green. Yeah he’s not a super star, but doesn’t need to be, he’s getting more comfortable and in control every game, 10 assists and 0 turnovers tonight. Doesn’t force up bad shots and has shown creative ways of getting the ball to the actual stars. When is the last time we had a husky PG this competent? NWG? Certainly been awhile. Once he starts knocking down threes at his career average the offense will really open up. We’re extremely lucky to have a well above average starter at PG and two young backups who are looking good in their own right.

Agreed, he is so much bigger than green and hardy, definitely a better physical fit in the zone. Although I like how much effort Hardy puts in on D also, very good on ball defender.

Why did anyone expect Green to be a star? He wasn’t starting at Kentucky and left because of playing time. I can understand being a little disappointed, but he was the 4th option all along.

He’s been okay. He will have to hit some big shots at some point this year.

I’d never actually seen BPJ play. There’s silly potential for him as a zone defender

He had the singular moment where he slashed to the basket on the lay up. If he’s that guy, then great. Otherwise, adequate but seems overhyped

I mean he’s had 2 10 assists game... Don’t turn the ball over and get it to Naz, Jaden, and Isaiah. He’s been doing a decent job of that so far

Best, most complete, game so far.

Everything was easy and flowing, UW could do what they wanted on defense with the trap, zone, or man with ease. The offense flowed much better, better off ball movement and spacing, hit a few threes, good penetration inside for easy baskets and inside assists. Still wish there was better drive and kick game. Defenses already know green can’t score so they sag and play passing lanes and they know if Naz is driving he is forcing it all the way to the hoop.

The team still is heavily reliant on Stewart, he is clearly carrying the team in both play and leadership, will be interesting to see how he looks against actual Pac-12 guys.

Most disappointing is Abdul green, it’s not that he is bad, he is just meh. I was told he would be ELITE.

Most surprising so far is Timmons, dude actually looked confident and had some good quick footwork on the low block and it makes me chuckle every time he puts a move on a guy.

Hardy got 18 mins, some during regular time, and looked fine which is good. The bench/fill guys have looked surprisingly ok the times they have played during the preseason dreck games.

We beat a 2-5 San Diego team at home.

Yes, we looked better. But let's ease up on the "the offense is fixed!" sizzle.

Quade has to be able to hit from 3 to keep the defense honest. OR beat guys off the dribble to score or kick. If that happens this team flows a lot better on offense. Right now he looks like post-injury Gaddy. Slow, hesitant, not great on defense, and unable to strike from 3.

If Bey and Naz can hit from outside at a decent clip we are fine. We own the paint.

Defense is a nightmare for opponents. Interesting to see how it holds up against consistently higher level competition.
