That's my point Bob. Quality of life overall, across the population, has greatly improved in West coast cities. You are just stuck in this "shitting in the streets" narrative your news source pushes, you can't see past that. I've been around San Diego a lot since the early 2000s, the downtown area is vastly nicer now than it was then. I've only been to San Fran a few times, so I can't really speak on that City. But I've ridden the train into downtown and it's been great. (Whatever one from the airport, can't remember what they called it)
If you spend enough time in downtown Kansas City, St Louis, Atlanta, etc, you'll see all the exact same shit you do in San Fran. -
