Clearing up some fake news
All those National Championships on their stadium were done without any bowl game. UW was their first Rose Bowl and bowl game. The Big 10 thought they were above bowl games and even after the 1948 agreement to play in the Rose Bowl they wouldn't send a team twice in a row.
Anyway, the Gophers are BACK. Imagine being one of their fans yesterday. Pretty coool
