Record 67 Million in the US Speak a Foreign Language at Home
Census Bureau data shows that homes that do not speak English first grew seven times faster than those that do.
The data, analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies, found that in the top five American cities, an average of 48% speak a foreign language at home, mostly Spanish or Chinese. And in 90 major cities, more than half speak a non-English language at home. 59% in Los Angeles alone.
The analysis said, “The Center for Immigration Studies finds that 67.3 million residents in the United States now speak a language other than English at home, a number equal to the entire population of France. The number has nearly tripled since 1980, and more than doubled since 1990

Clearly we need to open the gates even wider and increase immigration instead of reducing it.

Language is an indication of culture and assimilation. Spanish started out as language spoken at home and now we have Spanish ballots and press dos for espanol.

More than 1/5 of the population is speaking a foreign tongue as their primary language. This points to the fact that we've got an immigration problem. Long past time to close the gates, and keep them closed for several decades, if not permanently.

What’s the problem, excatly. If they are contributing members of society we need them. -
Now we have recorded messages where you are forced to listen to instructions in espanol, sometimes even before English, before you can even press the button.WestlinnDuck said:Language is an indication of culture and assimilation. The US doesn't need more unskilled labor. The US doesn't need more immigrants. It needs less of both.MikeDamone said:oregonblitzkrieg said:More than 1/5 of the population is speaking a foreign tongue as their primary language.
