Didn't notice Wellington doing too much good or bad re-watching the UW/Oregon game. Manu on the other hand....JFC. That guy wouldn't start at LB for Portland State. Watch the 4th and 3 touchdown to Mycah Pittman and someone please tell me what Manu thinks he is doing on that play.

Now he just looks like a pregnant woman playing LB.

He is not bad. Honestly. He's not perfect but he has a knack for big plays and has been tackling better. Definitely not what's wrong with our season. The secondary shits the bed in clutch moments and the dline...doesnt get pressure against good teams

Would help if our defense would not be forced to play extended time if offense could sustain a drive

Manu was mostly playing on the edge against Oregon. The dumbest part is it’s like the coaches felt bad about him not getting time at ILB and carved out a role for him so he wouldn’t get his feelings hurt. There is no reason for him to ever play.

He literally did nothing on this play. This angle is just an embarrassment to watch

Manu is just toooo slow and his head doesn't seem to be in the game.

Just such a shame he's the best that's what's left and they feel they have to play him.

I feel that reps should be given to younger players so they get the valuable snaps. He is not going to get better, so why waste the snaps on him. The drop off is probably not that much worse from the young guys

There isn’t anyone. Maybe Tafisi. I actually hope we just continue to play one of Turner or Ngata in the middle.
    Fuck our LBs.

Yeah but cmon. McDuffie totally fucked up that play. Let's be honest here.
Sure, he messed up. But he has not been consistently making bad decisions.

We’ve been kind of spoiled by our DB’s.. They make mistakes as freshmen. Sidney Jones has a few games his freshman year when he was pretty bad. I actually think McDuffie is better than Jones or really any freshman CB we have played. Murphy was about the same, but he was a R-FR. I even like McDuffie better than Taylor. He was a great pull.

IMO he is the best CB on the roster and it is not even close

In my half-retarded and dazed Huskie recollection, McDuffie looks like he'll be the best CB we've ever had.

Ever is a big claim. Peters, King, Trufant, and Jones were all really good. That’s just in recent years. He’s better as a freshman than all of them tho. King took 3 years to even be good. Trufant played under horrible coaches and wasn’t great until his senior year. Jones got a little bit better each year.

In Kings defense he played safety under Sark. Pete's staff started him out at slot corner and he was pretty damn good at it as soon as he got healthy enough to play.

Thanks for reminding me. Shit. The situation at LB is even worse than I remember.

Fucking depressing given the history of UW LBs.

That's why I limp dick'd it with those qualifiers, it IS a big claim. But, I think if he'd been starting all year, his performance would easily be All P12 worthy, and probably Freshman All American.
