Lake

Secondly, yeah, I know, it's all on Petersen ultimately, but I'm a fan.
Too many on here sucked him off for years. Ducks were walking in unmolested. The young excuse is bullshit in the eighth gayme.
The offense did its job overall. They built a good lead. Yeah, too conservative for a quarter, blah blah blah. 60% of this is on the defense.

Fuck lake. $1.4mm he can’t stop a fucking run again cal, stanford(played on 6 lineman that night) and Oregon. He not getting a fucking pass
-
Gets ass fucked in every big bowl game too. Fuck all the coaches
-
A few more bed shittings like this one and Jimmy Lake becomes Johnny Nansen without the tequila buzz.
-
We put up more points on Oregon than their last 5 opponents combined -- and we still lost. That is on Lake.
-
We need to get back to emphasizing the front 7. Lake’s DB’s are tackling bad. Don’t care about limiting contact at practice, you gotta practice tackling daily when you see this many missed.FirePete said:Fuck lake. $1.4mm he can’t stop a fucking run again cal, stanford(played on 6 lineman that night) and Oregon. We need 1st round NFL talent at every position if we want to have a chance to stop Cal or Stanford or any run game with a pulse.
Everyone knows this. -
El oh El. Jimmy used heavy fronts and held Oregon in check until the third quarter. That kept Manu's ass off the field until Oregon adjusted.
I'm the last one to give any of the crew a pass, but fucking A, Rover. Jimmy and Kwiat have been nails for five years and carried Bob Gregory's sorry sack of shit.
Jimmy and Kwiat have used six dbs at times or 3 down DL and 2 OLBs covering for the nothing burger that is our ILBs because the best Pete's assistant HC can contribute is Brandon Wellington.
We have the worst ILBs in the Pac12. Chew on that. A perennial top 5 CFB defense and we have shit right now. I'd rather have the Cougs ILB than the shit stain we have. Gregory decided to redshirt the best prospect we have, the one Malloe and Lake had to close for him. The most productive ILB is an OLB
And the spew Pete and Gregory feed their media pigeons about the bad luck of losing DJ Beavers and Eifler, the guy who left because he couldn't see a path to play. Good God.
DJ Beavers, the guy we stole from Cal, The Coug and SD State.
Jimmys guys all went to the NFL.
Bob Gregory's one NFL contribution in six years plays special teams. Tevis Bartlett, who Kawasaki gave Gregory, is back wrestling.
Give it a fucking rest. -
Other than Wellington, the ILB’s are slow. While everyone is clamoring for a thumper, give me a guy who can run and hit. I think we are too big on the edge too. I want mister DT’s like Tuli and then prefer speed over size at LB, especially ILB.
We look so slow on defense without BBK. I’m hoping Ah You can be like BBK, but BBK was much faster. -
The Defense lost UW two games now. Cal and Oregon. They need to be better in the pressure situations. Winners win.

Probably still is.RoadDawg55 said:We look so slow on defense without BBK. I’m hoping Ah You can be like BBK, but BBK was much faster.

I feel like the defense under Lake has been mostly good and sometimes great, but bot as consistent as it was when Kwat was the lone DC. Lake's defense seems to have a couple or few drives per game where they roll over and take a hard pounding with little to no resistance. The most notable have come at crucial moments where the pressure is on the opposing offense to score points late and we need one more big stop to win the game. The Auburn game last year, and the Cal and Oregon games this year are the most obvious examples that come to mind.
The defense has some obvious personnel challenges this season but still looks really good for much of each game. It just seems like opposing coaches are able to completely out scheme Lake a few times per game, especially in crunch time. -

Arroyo punked lake with the same play call that won the game last year

Probably, but it happened really fast and there was a lot going on to keep the eagle eyes occupied. Schooler did a pretty good job of giving a quick tug and then releasing so it didn't blatantly stand out when viewed once in real time.insinceredawg said:Is it just me or was Molden held by Schooler on the Redd TD?

If they called that penalty, it would have pushed them back to the 15 and a likely FG. Henry would have gotten a chance to redeem himself with a GW FG. There was also a block in the back that was missed during the Pittman TD and of course the PI on the last play. I know losers lose and winners win but still frustrating.CarlosDanger said:

Losers put themselves in the position of needing bailing out by refs. Refs probably missed just as many calls on Washington.insinceredawg said:

I see #5 Myles Bryant trying to play the linebacker position ... because we have no fucking linebackers!
What does that mean!?
Peterman and the trickle down coaches are all responsible for allowing this to happen.
Fuck! -

It's an RPO. And lookee, lokee at the end on the nearside (ole #30) who overcommits because he can't handle the spot. It gave Herbert an early and easy read who went immediately to the motioning WR off the fly sweep. Myles has to make sure it's not a run and has no chance.
Played correctly, Manu should have kept his outside shoulder free, forcing Herbert to hold the ball a second longer, giving Bryant enough time to help.
The backside end keeps his outside shoulder free, funneling inside. The DL has good leverage, neutralizing the LOS.
A competent dude forces Herbert into a 50/50 decision. We were in a good position on the run and the right dude on the end forces the motioning WR farther laterally allowing both Bryant and McDuffie to make the play
Another shining example of the WAC level production from Bobby Gregory's crue. -
Nobody asked for this. I just wanted you all to know that it was the same game winning play from last year but our OC sucks. Also, there is no decision here. Herbie gonna go where Herbie gonna go.Baseman said:dtd said:

Lake was dealt a hand with no lbs. All the games we have lost is usually the offense fucken chokes. It's the offense and Petersen. He needs to go. Lake can stay.

The fact that this play referenced worked is on the coaches. They had used that play before this season for a critical conversion and our team was completely fooled.insinceredawg said:

Lake is good. But against Oregon back to back years he has been out coached at critical times by arroyo. It’s the truth. -
