Really sucks because 2 of our other 3 db recruits are not worthy of a UW offer imo
-
Elijiah and Esteen are both solid but agree on James not being worthy.bananasnblondes said:Really sucks because 2 of our other 3 db recruits are not worthy of a UW offer imo

This has more to do with ASU not being a shitshow than UW dropping a couple winnable gamesTurdBomber said:No surprise here. Win some big games and rescue the reputation UW lost by losing to Stanford and Cal. Then stuff like this will be a surprise.

What a fucking retard she isMiley_Cyrus said:Roof is blaming negativity of UW fans for this? The fuck?
A few days ago she runs an article proclaiming we all shouldn’t worry and that her sources told her he just went to the game with friends...but now because her sources styled on her dumbass, she’s gotta pivot and find another excuse. Shocker.
Ruth, if you’re reading this....lick my scrote. -
Esteen is the only player I see challenging for a position in the 2-deeps in his first couple seasons. Jackson and Smith seem like players who might end up being good upperclassmen, but we won't be hearing about them for a while.sonics1993 said:

Likely special teams players in the Gilchrist mood ... decent but always going to get passed up by the next Trent McDuffie
-
ASU lost to Colorado at home, eeked out a couple wins including a scintillating 19-7 win over Sacramento State and is about to get bonesawed at Utah this weekend. Fuck them.FKA_Mousecop said:

We might be able to bet on one being the next Jordan Miller, but who knows how long we have Lake and if DB development will be the same 3 years from now.Tequilla said:Likely special teams players in the Gilchrist mood ... decent but always going to get passed up by the next Trent McDuffie

Seems like a world may exist where Jimmy is damaged goods.
Is the DB recruiting mediocre this year because of who's currently in the 2-deeps and them all being Freshmen? Down year out West? -
Esteen will probably be in the two deeps at safety next year. He’s pretty good and we aren’t very deep there.FKA_Mousecop said:

Kim just posted that "Scott's sources were golden"
Meaning the ones who he cited yesterday saying there was nothing to worry about with Jacobe -
Sounds like this won't be used against Eklunds batting average.bananasnblondes said:Kim just posted that "Scott's sources were golden"

Eklund now saying he either didnt have the grades or UW coaches dumped him when they found out he visited ASU without telling them
-
At least they get paid for pretending like they know anything.bananasnblondes said:Kim just posted that "Scott's sources were golden"

I agree 100%. Disregarding Safety vs CB and only looking at 5 DB spots, If everyone comes back he essentially only has to beat out 2 of Alex Cook, Kamren Fabiculanan, Brandon McKinney, Julius Irvin. If Keith Taylor and/or Elijah Molden leaves that number obviously drops.RoadDawg55 said:

I also don't really understand why we're getting such a late start on offering any 2021 DB. -
it hasn't been asked yet, so i will. is jimmy lake damaged goods?

He fucked us IMO. @sonics1993 does he still have a spot if he wants to commit again?

@sonics1993 What was the exception Pete made for Jacobe? Grades, school flip-flopping uncertainty, absence of family/Mom blessing?sonics1993 said:Seriously Euckland is really bad at his job. I posted Sunday that it was going to be a dawg fight and ASU was real threat. Didn't expect him to decommit yet but not surprised. Pete is pissed because he made a exception for him and this is how he gets thanked. But Jacobe is a emotional kid who has favored four different schools during this period. This is long way from being over if Jimmy wants to battle.
-
My random guess on exception would be take his commitment and still allow him to take visits but just a guess.Beno4Life said:

Likely allowing Jacobe to take an unofficial to ASU with his teammates and friends to show them support.Beno4Life said:

Cam Williams did it last year with his teammates at USC and never wavered.
-
Why do you still post on DM? And is there a desire by Jimmy to fight or are we moving on? Doesn’t seem to me like Ringo will happen, so what’s next?sonics1993 said:Seriously Euckland is really bad at his job. I posted Sunday that it was going to be a dawg fight and ASU was real threat. With the up and down play of Taylor and Molden this year I think there's a good chance both of them come back. We may only lose Bryant and a transfer (Gilchrist or Cook most likely) so we might not even have to get another DB in this class.
-
It will never happen, but I would love a Juco LB.insinceredawg said:With the up and down play of Taylor and Molden this year I think there's a good chance both of them come back. The only ILB on 247 that we would get a sniff from just committed to UCLA... That Asa Turner in the flesh Woodly Appolon (actually 6-4, presumably) does look intriguing, however! -
Oh look. Maureese Wren playing LB and not WR. WeirdEmoterman said:

Should we assume Jimmy wants to battle for his only blue chip recruit this cycle? (WEsonics1993 said:Seriously Euckland is really bad at his job. U KELEE!)
And what happens when a UW commit tells the coaches he wants to take more visits? Surely they didn't push him to publicly de-commit, did they? -
I'm gonna assume they back off and let Jacobe initiate if he still has interest. If that were to happen, no clue, he would be bottom of the list for available spots. Probably only 3 spots left and the staff seems like they want a slot, an ILB and a DL.Emoterman said:
