The doog in me isn’t dead yet. And the 2nd half was extremely encouraging. But I need to continue to see it. Oregon has the best defense in the league and a top 10 in the country. Still a chance we go back to full retard.

This is good. Not sure why it wasn’t done sooner. Coaches have been late to make changes. They gotta be more pro-active.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Next two games should have every player that can help out there. They define the season. Win both and the hopes of a shitty Rose Bowl return.AtomicDawg said:

Oregon’s corners are good enough to completely shut down opera with zero help. Fuller is okay if the defense is not completely focused on him.RoadDawg55 said:

Jones is not a savior but is a huge upgrade if he can go. If we can get puka and/ or him in 1 on 1 situations on the backside of the defense against shorter defensive backs those guys have to make plays. Time to man up. The north can be won with 2 or maybe even 3 losses (probably not 3) if they beat Oregon head to head. Gotta have this game even though my eyes tell me we suck i have guarded anticipation for this game. -
rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic
Ngata needs to be playing ILB more, Latu should also probably be filling in at ILB at times too if he ever comes back.
Asa and McKinney should be playing the other "ILB" area...
anything to get talent on the field and get the pointless Manu and Wellington off the field as much as possible. Play with 6/7 DBs if you have to, who cares.
Keep Bryant closer to LOS in the striker/nickel role
Mcgrew > Ahmed and should get the majority of the carries, especially inside and on yardage critical downs.
Puka should be starting outside WR.
Ahmed should be played in slot at times
Bryant should be split out more, including in formations with Westover and Otton tight.
Want to see a formation with Bryant and Puka wide, Fuller slot, and Otton tight with a RB threat.
Other Thoughts:
Bowman and Tryon actually both looked decent against Arizona.
Mele played well in relief for Harris
Mcduffie looks really good.
If fuller is going to fair catch or suck at every punt return just put no one back there and go for the block every time. -
McDuffie looking like the best CB freshman we have ever signed. kis has been disturbingly consistenHouhusky said:rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic

Why would they play 6'4" 275LB Latu at inside linebacker?Houhusky said:rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic

You rarely hear his name with the ball in the air, because he's never thrown at. Whenever I see him he's involved in a turnover it seems.FirePete said:

McDuffie is the best CB on the team. I don’t know if he’s better overall than Myles Bryant right now, but he’s definitely the best at coverage. He’s been a bright spot. He’s looking like a 3 and done.

Because he is athletic enough too, especially if he has Bryant to his outside helping his zone.FKA_Mousecop said:

I’m not saying to play him in man coverage on passing downs but Latu would be a significant improvement in run support and at a minimum equal in shallow middle zone coverage compared to Manu or Wellington. -
That says a lot, even though I think Hampton and Kyler are going to be good. But this kid is special...he is so physical. His was partially responsible for that safety we had this year and he is not afraid to get dirty and tackle on run supportRoadDawg55 said:McDuffie is the best CB on the team. Latu is definitely not athletic enough to play ILB. Yeah sure he'd help in run support between the tackles, but it would be almost comical how out of position he'd be in zone coverage. And chasing down running backs in the flat? Shit, he'd make Manu look athletic.Houhusky said:

Not sure on Hampton because we haven’t seen much of him, but Gordon is going to be good. He took a lot of shit for the Cal game, but he’s young and it’s just a matter of time before it clicks. You can see the talent. He might be better at nickel or safety.FirePete said:
