Why would they play 6'4" 275LB Latu at inside linebacker?Houhusky said:rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic
Ngata needs to be playing ILB more, Latu should also probably be filling in at ILB at times too if he ever comes back.

anything to get talent on the field and get the pointless Manu and Wellington off the field as much as possible. Play with 6/7 DBs if you have to, who cares.
Keep Bryant closer to LOS in the striker/nickel role
Mcgrew > Ahmed and should get the majority of the carries, especially inside and on yardage critical downs.
Puka should be starting outside WR.
Ahmed should be played in slot at times
Bryant should be split out more, including in formations with Westover and Otton tight.
Want to see a formation with Bryant and Puka wide, Fuller slot, and Otton tight with a RB threat.
Other Thoughts:
Bowman and Tryon actually both looked decent against Arizona.
Mele played well in relief for Harris
Mcduffie looks really good.
If fuller is going to fair catch or suck at every punt return just put no one back there and go for the block every time.

McDuffie is the best CB on the team. I don’t know if he’s better overall than Myles Bryant right now, but he’s definitely the best at coverage. He’s been a bright spot. He’s looking like a 3 and done.

I’m not saying to play him in man coverage on passing downs but Latu would be a significant improvement in run support and at a minimum equal in shallow middle zone coverage compared to Manu or Wellington. -
That says a lot, even though I think Hampton and Kyler are going to be good. But this kid is special...he is so physical. Latu is definitely not athletic enough to play ILB. Yeah sure he'd help in run support between the tackles, but it would be almost comical how out of position he'd be in zone coverage. And chasing down running backs in the flat? Shit, he'd make Manu look athletic.Houhusky said:

Not sure on Hampton because we haven’t seen much of him, but Gordon is going to be good. He took a lot of shit for the Cal game, but he’s young and it’s just a matter of time before it clicks. You can see the talent. He might be better at nickel or safety.FirePete said:
