Ok understand that, but he was involved in plays where we got scored on multiple ties this year. His tackling has not been the best.Baseman said:
Taylor's lack of plays resulted from opposing offenses moving away from his side of the field for Murphy's, as last season progressed. That speaks volumes and Murphy did not suck.FirePete said:
He grades out good, but I never seen him make a play. Most of the time we talk about him when he fucks updnc said:
Yeah I'm gonna have to disagree with you there.digits said:
Again, it's not an isolated incident. As noted above, he also dropped a pick last season in the end zone vs Cal (one of the 2 games he started last year) we? lose by 2. Did that matter? He has 0 interceptions for his career. One of his 1st snaps in college he got burnt for a TD vs Rutgers. He's gotten burned often. I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't see how he turns into a lock down CB. Hope he proves me wrong.dnc said:
Giving him shit over it is fine. It’s a major fuckup that thankfully happened in a game where it didn’t matter.digits said:Disagree.
No amount of shit is too much when you deflect a would be interception off your hands in the end zone to the opposition for a TD. Come the fuck on.
Giving up on him or thinking it says much about the player he is and is going to he is dumb.
He's had some bad plays - three that you've noted here. He's not perfect.
He's been good far more often than not.
I just haven’t seen that level of play that I saw from Buddha or Murphy where I was like “omg how he do that??!!!” -
Passes do get completed sometimes. We pretty much give up short passes on early downs because of our scheme.dnc said:

I'm more troubled with KT's early play at corner than his recent showing at Dime. Clearly he has struggled so far this year. I hope he gets it together for himself and the team. Pumping DBs into the NFL after three years in the program helps recruiting. -
Good coverage and good job of offensive pass interference not getting called. Still, Taylor obviously has a weakness and it's his hands. He doesn't catch well, but this clip also shows him being passive and weak with them in terms of positioning.GrundleStiltzkin said:Y'all must admit, this doesn't look good

For additional context, UW's two NFL drafted Corners:
And what's more: -
Taylor is where Bryant was after Stanford 17. Fresh in everyone's mind giving up completion after completion
I'm sure his metrics are great and he really didn't give them up and actually played at an All American level but all I have is these eyes. He has talent
McKinny looked the same in the Rose Bowl. Is he still around? -
I see him on special team, but have not seen him on field as safety.RaceBannon said:Taylor is where Bryant was after Stanford 17. Fresh in everyone's mind giving up completion after completion

It cost him his life but he can't be killed, he looks dead but then he gets right back up again.WilburHooksHands said:

Update:
Keith Taylor held the Pac-12's best WR Michael Pittman to 3 catches for 20 yards, and a 44 yard TD where it looked like Taylor was playing a zone in the flats and Cameron Williams was about 2 seconds late to take the over zone (likely thought he was supposed to cover the flats). Busted coverage, but likely not on Taylor.
Keith Taylor doesn't suck. -
In my best Warren Moon impression: Keith Taylor is a good football player. Sometimes there are good football players across the line of scrimmage that can also make good football plays. It's part of the game of football. More times than not Keith will make a good football play and every once in a while the opposing football player will make a good football play. That's just football.

A DB will give up a 7 yard completion and posters here will say he sucks. Every CB gives up completions.

I'll allow itDoogCourics said:Update:

That's all I'll say for now. But I have a feeling

UW played a very good game of defense against USC
I remember the horror show of the ASU game last year where in order to stop Henry we had to let them grind us down the field time after time
This time we? stopped three USC wideouts and still did a good enough job against the run. 1991 was the only Husky defense I have ever seen where a 4 yard run was cause for concern. Jerry Pettibone crowing about his wishbone getting 80 yards on 50 carries is seared in my memory
The game has changed. Holding USC to 360 yard while winning is a GOOD defense -
He had a good gameDoogCourics said:Update:

I still think he declares and goes in the 2nd rd.

KT has been really solid this year, but I expected a little more from him in terms of splash plays, INTs, and run support. Coverage is his primary role, so I'm not disappointed, just expected him to pop a little more. IMO, Molden and Bryant have been a lot more disruptive to offenses.
The secondary is getting better every week, but there is still a ways to go in tackling and run support. Just shows how critical it was to have an eraser like Rapp in the secondary.
