Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Talked to a buddy who has a contact in the AD who is fairly high up.....
Morale right now inside the AD has never been higher.
The view from inside on Sark's staff was that they lacked proper conduct and professionalism. There was that feeling of adults not being in charge. Also, the guy strongly believes that Sark would have been canned if he lost the apple cup.
Clearly, those on the inside are very happy with the coaching change. Mind you this is just what I'm hearing.....not certain until confirmed by ReedStrong or sportboner.

We were right, that much is clear.
Notice the AD didn't make an attempt to keep Sark? That was telling.

This has been one of my strongest arguments against Sark's image in the AD ... Most of my friends think he was great .... One still refers to him as a great 'playcaller' ...

I still encounter dumb asses that say he was a great recruiter.

He was an above average recruiter of wide-outs and QB's. Everything else...not so much.

who hired Sark?
who hired Sark?
Your mom...?
I dunno ... Scott Woodward ...? Same guy who didn't care to keep him...?
Why do I feel like Terri Thrapp? ... Have I gone FS?
I admire you for hanging onto your lens of skepticism ... I've left mine in my pocket for a good 5 weeks now... Been into the 'ole doogery...
Your point is well taken.

Yes I still get the usual crap of "Well you gotta give Sark credit. He built this program to the point where UW could land a great coach. He stock the cupboard full."
I was like he inherited a pretty full cupboard too but you fucking Doogs refuse to ever acknowledge that.
I also said all year long had UW lost to WSU to finish 7-5 that Sark was going to be fired. I think Woodward's actions, supposedly interviewing Mora two weeks prior when UW played UCLA as me convinced had WSU held on that Sark was toast.
I even PM'd Chest that I knew of a booster who had spoke to other boosters and they weren't happy with Sark. Not necessarily his average record but the cheating, being a drunk. I was even told that Stephanie had moved out and moved to Cali back in October. So they were suspecting that Sark was on his way out either by firing or by him leaving.
Even though we love to mock this saying and shit I even have it as my name perhaps Woodward needed more time to finally grow into being a good A.D?
Sure he fucked up by hiring Sark but that was five years ago. I'd say that week stretch from where he willingly let Sark go and stole Petersen something many big programs have tried and failed at doing deserves major kudos.
That is when he went from Pool Boy to Woodward IMO.
Let us remember that five years ago, Woodward was just as much an AD-in-training as Sark was a head-coach-in-training. Our AD learned from his mistakes and made-up for it by hitting a homerun with the Petersen hire. And Sark? He's moved to a different shop where the training should be easier, but the lessens harder.
Romar's seat is cooler than a Supreme Court Justice's.
Next up, Operation LoRo - scheduled for 2014-2015. This covert ops will not be easy however
