Speaking from experience -
Derek. This kid is not responding to parental influence. Do the best thing for the kid and suspend him for a couple weeks. Maybe he'll concentrate on school and moderate his drugs/drinking a bit. He's got an addictive personality and you have the power to help him get better. Do the right thing.
