AOC is probably dumb but not in the way the right is trying to paint her. She's dumb like Trump. Which is still dumb but much more effective dumb.
With AOC, it's different. She's saying untrue things that her base actually believes. She's riling them up. And in the process drawing in some who were on the fringe and aren't very discerning.
It's the Trump script to a t, just the left handed version of it.
And just like with Trump, the other side attacking and calling it dumb is only going to reinforce to the true believers how right she is.
She's done a good job coopting his strategy while tweaking the message.
At some point it comes down to the message not just the messenger. Trump's message is one of hope and what's good for America. -

Trump plays to a far broader base than AOC, for the tim being. AOC peoples are far noisier though, pound for pound.
