On the bright side we have more blue chips on our roster than Climpson.

Maybe more points but I'll take the 10 players on the roster with higher upside.
Oh, and the track record of development.
It is amusing though that for all the nonstop talk about how talented Oregon is and how great their recruiting is, the numbers don't back it up. -

@wrongonpurpose... the gift that keeps on giving.
My two dads taught me never to make fun of those type of people, but I can't help myself in his case. -
So 247 College Team Talent Composite has been by far the best predictor of where we can be worried about losses. Pete’s teams have only lost twice in the past 3 years to schools ranked lower than us by this metric. Both of those losses came in 2018 to Cal and Oregon. Oregon was #25 in 2018 team composite and we were #20 so pretty close. Cal is really the only major outlier here (2017 Stanford and ASU were both ahead of us that year in the composite ranking).
Beware @ Stanford in 2019. -

At least they? aren't coming off a bye. -

No bye for Stanford and it’s not on a Friday night thank Allah. But they are the lone road game against a team with top 20 talent based on team composite ranking. Every other road game this year is lil sisters of the poor.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Yeah, after seeing Arizona's loss to Hawaii I'm no longer so worried about the desert. That game was twash.YellowSnow said:

I felt the same way about ASU in 2017. So hold your horsesUW_Doog_Bot said:

I don’t think week 0 football in Honolulu is great predictor of future performance. Tate (and Taylor) flashed enough that I’m still scared of that October game in the desert.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Having said that, I wonder what Sumlin’s buyout looks like. His career post-Johnny Football is a tire fire. -

Only if they are the caliber of Ray Lewis and can murder the opponent's backfield.creepycoug said:

Not Ray Lewis until they are, and not sure about the murder. At least two of the three will be studs in the NFL, maybe all three, and all three have been great at Miami.PurpleBaze said:
