I don't get the feeling Pete would trot Haener out there every 1st series of every "open" practice and then pull the rug out from under him in the opener.
Hunter's health will not be risked. We all know what he can do when healthy so keeping him from injury is the entire objective. I wouldn't be surprised if he barely (or doesn't) plays against EWU.

Haener was with the 2s the entire scrimmage session, which was the meat of the practice. I wouldn't say Eason blew him away in terms of performance, but I would give the edge to him. Sirmon looked the best of the three, but that might have just been that his 3 squad was better than the defense's...

Had a white wrap around one knee and was flexing it a lot from what I saw when he was on sideline...
His chest is so wide. He has that Greg Gaines rectangle shape.
We watched a UW game when the announcer referred to Gaines as a rectangle. After that, every time Mrs Nacho heard his name, she referred to Gaines as the Rectangle!
