Reminds me of Perris Campbell from Ohio Stats, love this guy.

Parris Campbell was 5’11 7/8 at the combine. Rome Odunze is 6’3.
True but just watching Rome’s Hudl I saw similarities in just being really strong guys who ran extremely well and could get vertical. Strong hands. Might’ve been a different Ohio State receiver tbh
Ohio State's never had a good receiver, so you're probably thinking of somebody else.

@ballz do you have an opinion on this matter?
All I know is Ohio State sucks at developing WR's. Their WR's leave the same as they came in. The ones who were going to the NFL no matter what school they chose, go to the NFL. The ones that were highly rated but needed to be developed, don't make it. When you recruit at a top-5 level, you're gonna have top draft picks at every position no matter what. Doesn't mean good development is going on at every position. They have a lot of 4-star flame outs at WR.
No they don’t. Just because every 4 star doesn’t become a high draft pick doesn’t mean they don’t develop WR’s.
They have a bunch of 4-star WR recruits that have gone undrafted. Like I said, when you recruit at the level they do they can just sit back and let the cream rise to the top at WR and don't have to develop the other guys which they don't. Whoever rises to the top will be a star and would have been no matter where they went. If they developed WR's well those other 4-star WR recruits that don't become the big stars and 1st round picks should still be getting drafted in the later rounds. Not going undrafted. That's not great development. That's great recruiting.
Would you please shut the fuck up.
No I'll keep fucking going. People want to start some dumb shit, I'll finish it.

If you add 3 stars it's 2 players from the 2012 class that both transferred out.

Any players from the 2015 class and beyond are still in school so they don't count you fucking idiot.

That's 11 eligible receivers total recruited from every star level. 5 were drafted.

If you are a wr recruit of any star level and go to tOSU you have a 45% chance at being drafted. That's an absurd ratio and it includes two scrubs from a transition class that transferred out.

    You're toast bitch.

One of the 2015 4-star receivers already transferred. That gets added to the data set. One of those draft picks was a 7th round pick who has a total of 9 receptions so far in his career and likely won't be in the league much longer. It's 13 draft eligible WR's (14 minus the one that stayed in school from the 2015 class) with only four draft picks and one being a 7th rounder. That's 30% of their WR's being drafted and 23% if you remove the 7th rounder. That's not good given the level they've recruited at over those years at the position. It's over. You lose.

Just got off the phone with my contact at Bishop Gorman. He said Rome has dropped UW from consideration after reading this thread

And is now going to Ohio State.

Im actually surprised this talk track is gaining steam. Would be nice if the best in the west best someone, anyone, not from the west, besides Rutgers and Southern Miss...

In a strange twist of fate, I will be on Oklahoma's campus on July 27th ... the same date as his visit.

I'll make sure to wear Husky gear, but if I had some kinda schedule as to what was in store for the campus visit, I might be able to make sure I give him a "go Dawgs".

Any of you have any top secret contacts that can figure out what the schedule is for his OU visit?

Yep. Look for water close to campus. There will be docks by the water. Rome will be arriving by boat from the local fish restaurant. Be waiting with signs, a pie, and a "Go Dawgs".

I won't get my hopes up just yet. Duck fans thought Rosengarten was theirs and the UW visit was just out of courtesy and we know how that turned out.

"I'm going to Oklahoma on the 27th (of July)," Odunze told Dawgman.com recently. "After that I think I'll be able to sit down with my parents and decide where I'm going to go. I don't want to rush things, but I feel like I've seen a lot and after I visit Oklahoma, I think I'll have the information I need to feel comfortable about my decision."

"I feel I owe them at least that," Odunze said about his trip to Norman. "The coaches there have been great and it's a great program with a great history and they have built a good relationship with me, so that's why I want to visit there and just see what it's all about."

One program who has been a consistent presence at the top of Odunze's list of favorites is Washington and he said he recently spoke to Chris Petersen.

"He just got back in town and he took my call," Odunze said. "We've got a great relationship, me and him and also coach (Junior) Adams, he's been there from the beginning for me.

"I loved my visit up there and how great the program is. They have a great combination of academics and football and the coaches there develop players."

Odunze has also been hearing from some of his friends who are currently committed to the Dawgs.

"Jalen (McMillan) and I talk a little bit and he's definitely been recruiting me a little," Odunze said with a chuckle. "He doesn't put a lot of pressure on me, but he definitely lets me know he wants me to join him.

"They've actually got a lot of recruiting momentum and they've gotten a bunch of great players committed to them already."

Will that play into making his decision?

"That will play a part, sure," Odunze said matter-of-factly. "Everyone wants to play with the best players they can and when you have guys who could have gone anywhere and they choose to go to U-Dub, I mean, that says something about the direction of the program and it definitely has an impact on things. It isn't everything, but it definitely will play a part for me."

Odunze said he hopes to make his decision by the middle of August.

I'd just like to reiterate how much of a badass McMillan is, plenty of players would consider decommitting if their team picked up more talent at their position, and he's actively recruiting guys at his spot, and another outside receiver at that.

"I feel like I at least owe them that" doesn't bode well for Oklahoma, and the fact that he's actively calling petersen opposed to just answering calls from coaches, makes it look pretty apparent where he is going to end up
Same vibe as Sam Adams visiting Tosu before committing to UW.
