So I was actually selected to this council so if anyone has any recommendations, send em my way. First meeting August 6.
Figure out the “Go Huskies” chant (use the fucking ribbon boards and big screen for chrissakes), and get the band playing in sections around the stadium like they used to.
Also, tell Jen/athletic dept to give back to season-ticket holders. Give us an adidas promo for purchases, Alaska air promo for away games, and try and get an out of town highlights on Jumbotron. If I’m at home watching a Husky game, I’m flipping to another game (or grabbing another Rainier) during commercial break.

Nevermind season ticket holders this is basic marketing...which is something they should be doing...
At least improve the beer buying so I don't have to miss a huge chunk of the game to get one.
Throwbacks, throwbacks, throwbacks. I'd take fucking Gil Dobie throwbacks at this point.
Stop alienating the long time tailgate crowd and instead encourage it as part of the game day experience like Ole' Miss or most other normal football schools.

What do you mean by the tailgate issue? Anything specific?

Last I checked there won't be much space to tailgate left.

The image above is weird. It seems to be entirely missing E1 and E18 to the north, which to my understanding, will not be touched.
But the folks that tailgate in E12 to the south are really pissed, and rightly so. Looks like half of that porking lot is slated to become a new building. Also, new buildings look to be going up at E8 and E9, which people also tailgate at, close to the stadium.
1. Do not build any buildings where Husky fans currently tailgate. Buildings are slated to go up in E8, E9, and E12, which all hold tailgaters. Tailgating enhances the game day experience and is a UW tradition. Don't drive fans away from enjoying the gameday experience, however they choose to do it. Embrace tailgating. 2. Figure out the 'Goooooo... HUSKIES!!!' chant ASAP. Ever since the student section moved, the chant has been awful. I've emailed the UW Athletic Dept. at least once a season since the renovation, telling them they are saying the chant too fast. Slow it down! Especially the 'Go' part. It has way more effect when it's slowed down. But they have not tried to slow it down, for who knows why reason. If they can't figure it out, tell them to watch/listen to Husky games pre-renovation. It's not rocket science. 3. Throwback uniforms. Years that come to mind: 1960, 1984, 1991, and 2000. 4. Abolish, 'The Zone'; sell beer and wine in the stadium. It'll generate revenue to help pay for the renovation, and encourage fans to get to the game on time, and stay in the stadium the entire time. Fans have too many warranted excuses to not get to their seats by kickoff, and not staying the entire game. Give them some incentive to do so.
All I have for now, will let you know if I think of anything else.

Comments
Make it happen Jen/Adidas.
I'm neutral on the pant stripes.
Get rid of the fat guy who gives away $5 gift cards during commercial breaks.
Problem solved.
Thank you for your service.
