I'm concerned about Ahmed but he was used in a mostly retarded way and that is also a fact
He got obliterated at Cal standing 7 yards deep waiting on a delayed hand off that got to him along with the Cal defense. More than once.
But he still needs to show he can do it. He really hasn't so far other than some flashes -

Ahmed isn't going to become someone new just because hes now the top guy. Hes always going to need good blocking or well timed play calls to do his damage.
But
Eason throwing ro a better group of receivers, and health on the OL, are going to open up the running game a ton.
Ahmed has a good year. 800 yards on about 7 YPC. Dicknewt or Pleasant will get more carries but fewer yards.
Eason: 3400 yards, 65%, 33-11. -

#1 RBs are all hurt in some way by week 5 or 6. The great ones push through it. Gaskin did. He also had a combination of patience, strength and balance that you don’t see in College very often. Ahmed is a burner. Nothing more, nothing less. He’ll hit his homeruns. But He isn’t the guy that will demoralize a D like Gaskin did. 3k for Skinny 30 touchdowns with probably 12 ints is a realistic expectation. A lot will depend on who he's throwing the ball to outside of Hunter Bryant. If the offense is simplified and the younger more elite talent plays I could see both numbers being higher. Ahmed I could see 1100 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns. 900 on the ground and 200 receiving. Big if on him staying healthy through the course of the entire season.
