I remember this paper on the isle of my local Thrifty Foods in Arlington. I was 13 according to the date and the photo obviously made an impression on me. Great job by the editor? That picture still resonates with me to this day. No wonder I loved the X-Files when it came out a few years later.
They'll never say it but Thrifty's went downhill and eventually switched to Food Pavillion when they stopped carrying these.

They stopped carrying them at the Fred Meyer check stands as well. It was the highlight of grocery shopping with my dads. Then Men in Black came out and spoofed it and we laughed and laughed.

So it’s not just your store. I would go on to say that was when the whole nation went down hill. Please fix this Trump!
