Weber Cooks!!

Christ. Fuck this FCS shit.

It amazes me that during the decade of shit here we played such great schedules and now that we don't suck we play the weakest pussy schedules ever
Even SEC teams are beefing it up. In the 2030's but still
-
I better try to get extra tickets now while they are still available

a wildcat is a vicious animal

LMK when the SEC schedules nine conference games where the top programs don't somehow magically "miss" each other every year regardless of their commitment to scheduling an "A" team in their ABC&C- formula.RaceBannon said:It amazes me that during the decade of shit here we played such great schedules and now that we don't suck we play the weakest pussy schedules ever

This makes zero sense to schedule these kinds of games ... although in an even numbered year with 5 road conference games we are always going to try to play 3 home games
-
Like football will be around n 2024

No CWU Wildcat game yet.

It's far and away the worst trend that came out of the last 20 years. Even more so than the rising obsession of teen boys.RaceBannon said:It amazes me that during the decade of shit here we played such great schedules and now that we don't suck we play the weakest pussy schedules ever

The NFL makes money hand over fist because they monetize every single opportunity in front of them. CFB meanwhile is too disjointed to coordinate a revenue maximizing model that tells FCS schools to fuck off and puts a marquee P5 opponent on each team's calendar for every single weekend. Instead we get this game theory race to the bottom bullshit where each school wastes half a mil to bring Who Gives a Shit State to campus for an uninspired ass whooping.
The entire month of September is a testament to what could have been for college football. -

In a game with such a small sample size of games to determine who belongs in a national championship playoff, it seems like a waste to throw away a data point on 1aa
-
Except that teams are punished a lot harder for losing than they are for playing a soft SOS.
-
Dontae McMillan revenge game!
-
Thank you and therein lies the crux of the problem. Until the playing field is forcibly leveled across all conferences, I won’t cry too much over shit like thisUW_Doog_Bot said:Except that teams are punished a lot harder for losing than they are for playing a soft SOS.

These games should be outlawed. Power 5 teams choirs get one game every year against a non BCS opponent. The win padding is ridiculous.Doogles said:In a game with such a small sample size of games to determine who belongs in a national championship playoff, it seems like a waste to throw away a data point on 1aa

and what an exciting day at Husky Stadium that will be!

in front of 45,000 fans

Someone needs to tell Petersen he’s not coaching in the WAC anymore
-
Someone needs to tell the SEC they're pussies for being afraid to come out here and play us at home.

Alabama beat us soundly on a neutral field
Auburn beat us on a neutral field.
Washington is something like 1-12 all time against the SEC. (If you don't count the forfeit win over Mississippi State in 1977)
We aren't in a position to call them pussies for God's sake -
I don't think anybody good wants to schedule a home and home with UW anymore. Long travel. Difficult opponent. I think Michigan and Ohio State scheduled us a while back thinking we would be solid but not a real threat to beat them. 2020 and beyond, UW should be good enough to beat anybody, especially if it's a home game. We're gonna beat Michigan's ass next season if Eason stays.
As long as Bama is going to the playoff every year with a cupcake schedule I don't really give a fuck. They take the easiest path to the CFP every year and are never punished for it. The cupcake games are also good for getting young players game reps and developing depth. -
If we're going to whine about weak OOC schedules we should at least acknowledge the challenges Jen faces scheduling quality opponents at home. How many of those 12 losses were at home? I see LSU beat us by 8 in '09.

Tulsa, and now Weber State?! Woo hoo, we? are on FIRE! JFC. Kinda hard to fill the stadium when you're scheduling dreck, Jenn/Peterman!
-
My lasting memories of that game are 1) my brother and me elbowing a bunch of Tiger fans out of the way so that the first thing the LSU players saw when they got off their bus was a couple of drunken husky fans woofing at them.... and 2) the immense disappointment at losing the fucking game.....as usual. Doogs Dooging is beside the point. We suck until we don't. That doesn't change the fact that it's tough to get anyone good to come play here.
-
I get that, but their schedules are still ridiculous. It’s a top heavy league like the rest of them.DerekJohnson said:

It made the 41-3 loss three years later all the more demoralizing. Then that spawned Kim's classic "When I saw those LSU linemen standing there on the field, I knew we didn't have a chance"* comment to admonish those of us who were upset that Sark allowed such a beat down in year four. He always was adept at trying to look like the smartest guy in the room once the game actually concluded. Him and Fleenor have a lot in common.DerekJohnson said:

*He first said this about the 2010 Nebraska ass whooping. Thankfully our fantastic nutrition program miraculously bridged the gap in four months, just in time for the Holiday Bowl. -
Derek saw this coming.
