    Dennis has us going 9-3.

USC won't be in our four toughest games.
USC falls in the category of teams we get all mentally weak over. We shouldn't but we do

Its the toughest game on the schedule talent wise for the opponent
I get thats what Dennis is saying and I understand why. But we don't get mentally weak against shit teams at home and USC is going to be shit.

We are going to stomp them.

How do you a position-by-position analysis and forget the most important area af a football team?

Gotta love the PI. They’re still alive...I guess.

arizona is going to be absolutely awful this year.

Not that that makes a difference when the dawgs go to the desert.

We? also get hyped to face the Air Raid. USC has the talent to take it to the next level, but UW runs the perfect kryptonite scheme for the Air Raid.

I don’t understand anyone on HERE at this point not getting the problem.

The problem is us being mentally weak beta shrivel dicks.

Part of that is the lack of ubiquitous elite physicality (I am used to whipping ass) and part of that is that our coach engages beta strategies to win games “confusion” rather than power.

This is why USC is always hard. And Oregon is going to be hard for the same reason. We should’ve beat Oregon by 2 TDS, but we were so weak we fucked up an easy win.

This is also why we always drub WSU. When we show up we know we are superior in every way. It’s only when they have nothing to play for and we do that we get tight.

USC being shit is different that a team that is REAL shit.

They were the toughest game except maybe for Cal in 1991 and they went 3-8

You recruiting guys know the talent is there. Not Pete Carroll talent because Clay is a shit coach but talent all the same

If Skinny lights them up then sure because our D will keep them down.

But the shrivel dick is real
    Race gets it.

We COULD blow them out. It’s only 40% you feebs, not 0%. But all of this USC is down shit is retarded.

We only beat them when they thought of us like they think of Zona. When we are good (2016; 1991, etc) they give a shit and we will be one of the teams they play against.

Now, if we show up and don’t shrivel dick, we could punch them in the mouth and they could back down. But I expect us to really struggle.

Same issue we had with UCLA last year. Despite being miles ahead of them they remembered they have talent and gave us a run.

We play from a place of fear, "Don't fuck this up". Pete Carroll did have it right in college football, you get superior athletes and give them the confidence to go out and compete and you will win a ton of games.

I know that Petermen will never be that Rah Rah coach but he could take a page from Bellicheck and have his players so prepared that they play with confidence. That comes from simplifying and repetition so that your players know exactly what their job is and can execute with confidence. Gil Dobie had a similar philosophy as well.
It also means recruiting highly rated HS kids. Players offered by the Blue Bloods don’t pucker when they line up across from Ohio State or Penn State. Many of the opposing players they probably know from showcases, all-star games, and recruiting visits.

No matter how well developed our roster is, at the end of the day players with middling offers out of high school are intimidated lining up against higher rated opponents.

It’s been the script. Fear. Fall behind. Then, rally after they realize they can match up with the big boys

    10. @OSU (99.9%)
    11. EWU (shut it down)
    12. Hawai’i (disband the University)

    Dennis has us going 9-3.

USC won't be in our four toughest games.
USC falls in the category of teams we get all mentally weak over. We shouldn't but we do

Its the toughest game on the schedule talent wise for the opponent

Again, we don't shrivel dick against shit teams at home.

USC is going to be shit.

We win this game rather easily.

Is it really fear? Or it it completely inept offensive coaching?
    Clear case of abundance.

You remember USC in 2016 or nah?
Uhh sure. I'll go ahead and put you down for USC finishing in the top 5 in the nation this year.

    Good luck with that.

The 91 game was in LA. If this game was in LA I'd be worried about it.

    It's not.

Every game we’ve played against a team with superior talent in the past three years we’ve lost. HTH

Pete led teams have no balls when it comes to playing high talent teams. They play scared and lifeless until they're down by 3 TD's and the other teams has stopped playing. He's a good CEO, but not a great motivator and seems to suck the life out of his players. We're just lucky the Pac is a total shit fest.

He has this whole philosophy of preparedness that’s based on the Yerkes-Dodson law or arousal, which is you don’t want to be too high or too low.

His problem is he thinks early game performance is about arousal, but primarily against big time talent teams has been fear. You could even start to see the fear creep in vs. UCLA.

Pete builds the principles of “the little guy” into the program. The problem our team has is confidence under duress.

Mentally weak BS has been our calling card for years and until Pete either gets some alphas to change the culture (please god Skinny) or has to find a way to instill confidence in his betas.

But our entire recruiting strategy is “we want kids who are obedient” - so we aren’t really getting a bunch of swagged out dudes who want to humiliate other teams.

    We get Clark Kents.
