Coaches on the Road (Week of 5.6.19)

Use this thread to post any additional info that is pertinent to coaches visits this week (unique follows, high school check-in posts, photos, etc.)

Have to imagine the highlights of the Texas and Utah trips are to see recently offered DLs Princely Umamelien & Xavier Carlton respectively. In Texas, I wonder if Malloe will also check-in to Tompkins High School where '21 DL Tunmise Adeleye attends, Kwat and Malloe have recently followed him. While in Utah, DL Van Fillinger & Waisale Muavesi are also likely to be visited, as is a trip to Orem ('21 OL Kingsley Suamataia & '21 OLB Jayden Ah You (both related to Miki Ah You)) and East High School per usual. Idaho is your best guess, maybe he's the one doing the check in on commit OL Gaard Memmelaar this time and possible that he also visits another Ah You, S Miki Ikaika Ah You (seriously). If ya'll idiots still haven't realized how important getting Miki to UW was, the Ah You's and extended family are everywhere.

Definitely visited Sawyer Racanelli while in Oregon/Greater Portland area. Also believed he checked in at the Team Lillard (Adidas 7v7/AAU training facility), Adams is taking over primary contact with them and we will definitely hear a lot more moving forward. In Texas, I imagine he is visiting recent follows WRs Lawrence Arnold & Chris Carpenter. And then I'd bet it's a SoCal trip to see WRs Johnny Wilson, LV Bunkley-Shelton & Bosco boys (Logan Loya & '21 Beaux Collins), and a NorCal visit to WR Jalen McMillan. Also interesting to note, Junior followed a trio of Florida '21 & '22 kids a few weeks, something to keep on the back burner.

He visited Ferndale before OL Geirean Hatchett took off for his Oklahoma OV, also saw OL Caadyn Stephen again too at Camas. Then off to Arizona to put in work for four days. Imagine he's doing the full circuit as this is his recruiting region and he's been extremely successful down there. For visits, obviously OL Tosh Baker and Noah Nelson as well as OL Jonah Miller, Brandon Hernandez & Jaylan Jeffers as a non-offers. Sure he'll visit Saguaro, Salpointe Catholic and Chandler High School as well.

Harris get the Texas swing. The fact that he rarely recruits LA really drives me crazy, but he's checking in on recent OU commit DB Ryan Watts and our other Texas offered DB Xavion Alford. A couple other 2020 regional guys that we haven't offered but Harris has started following in the past month is TEs Drake Dabney & Jalin Conyer , WR/DB Chris Carpenter (mentioned under Adams too), and DB Kavaris Hall. Also of note some more big time underclassmen that Harris has recently started tracking are '21 OLB Cullin Montgomery & '22 WR/DB Caleb Burton. Everything in Texas is really suspect and hard to track, not much twitter interaction from kids and we continue to spend a lot of resources doing scatter-shot offers out there. Someday, I might understand the point in UW's Texas strategy but not today!

The only day in Arizona is for RB Bijan Robinson who we're back in on after his visit last week (God bless you Sam Huard). There's momentum there so I'm hopeful to see if we can keep the ball rolling as it appears like it's gonna be a UW/UCLA battle for the most part moving forward, but we're talking about Bonerpop so who knows. The Cali dates could be pretty much anyone we've offered in the Inland Empire or greater LA area. I imagine either him or Jimmy be the one to hit up Indio to see DL Jake Shipley on his way to Arizona. And it's likely Boner will do some pairing up with Gregory, Kwat and Hamden at times during their overlapping California dates.

The Texas trip could be to see some of the TEs I mentioned in Harris' section Drake Dabney & Jalin Conyer. During his California dates he'll definately visit TE Mark Redman & TE Ben Yurosek in addition to yet to be offered TEs Jack Yary & Jake Overman. He's the only one visiting Colorado so I think he'll check-in to see OL Roger Rosengarten who visited us recently too and yet to be offered TE Kole Taylor.

The extra day in Washington is interesting. Not sure if there is a specific who or just more time doing check-ins with high school contacts. With all the LBs we've offered that have committed elsewhere, or removed us from consideration recently Gregory has a lot of work to do. I'll be tracking the status on LB Carson Bruener more closely. In California, hopefully LB Kourt Williams gets a visit, and I'd like to see a group visit or multiple visits over the course of the week by coaches to Bosco. We need to keep a strong foothold there and keep building on the in-roads we've accrued there over the past 18 months. Also LOL, but Gregory also has to get a LS this year, so the kid from Servite, Jake Garcia who visited us in the fall will probably get a check-in during this period too.

Another tripper out to Texas. He'll probably see DL Princely Umamelien with Malloe. I expect him to try to see if OLB Drew Sanders, who committed to Alabama after visiting there over the weekend and was originally going to visit us that weekend instead, is still interested. Also recently followed OLB Cooper McDonald two days ago, so makes sense to think he's planning on visiting him too. In California, I expect him to go out to Orange Vista again to see DEs Ethan Saunders & Dion Wilson Jr.

So Bush will see QB Ethan Garbers and thus also see TE Mark Redman and Stanford WR commit John Humphrey. After that it's really your best guess. I don't know if he's going to be tasked with more WR help or what, or if he's still seriously recruiting any other QBs in the 2020 & 21 classes. He might also get the Folsom trip to see RB Daniyel Ngata, but could also be Adams or Boner who does that one. Ultimately, I'll be curious to see what he's doing this week.

Jimmy has pretty clear targets. In California, recently offered DB Elijah Jackson and his Lawndale DB teammate Makell Esteen are priorities and sure to draw a visit. In Arizona, something's gotta give with DBs Kelee Ringo and Lathan Ransom. Two kids we've lost a lot of ground on since February, if we're going to seriously get back in it, it's got to happen now. Keep an eye out for Kelee's teammate DB Jacobe Covington too, sounds like there is some gaining interest there. I'm sure Lake will be visiting a bunch of other defensive recruits during this time, as well as kissing babies at a lot of the powerhouse schools in LA and Arizona.
That's all I got folks, I'm 81% confident in what I've talked about. If anyone is inspired to do links to threads or 247 pages for any of these guys, have at it.

I love you and I love this post. Let's keep it pinned for awhile. This shit kicks ass!

Also, I find it amusing that it took almost losing two 4 star QBs on the roster, whiffing on Smalls, and being eliminated from half our top PSA's lists before summer for UW to finally start an all out assault on draft pick messaging. That will resonate. Why did it take us so long to "brand ourselves" as the destination on the WC if you want to go to the league? We had dominated those numbers the draft before last as well.
We look reactionary instead of proactive. Pete runs this incredibly detailed and high performing program but has never been as well planned in recruiting. It has always looked ad-hoc. I love the direction the last week, but am pissed off the wheels had to fall off before we got serious about doing something about it. FML. -

I like this format.
Doesnt reek of the elitist bs we got from poopsi the poor. -
Probably to Dawgman cause I assume they’ll find and repurpose this info on their site eventually.Neighbor2972 said:Where do I send my 10.95?

I feel like Coach Pete will tell his staff to put an emphasis on Twitter like once per year. The problem is that it only lasts a week or two and then it goes back to how it was.Swaye said:Also, I find it amusing that it took almost losing two 4 star QBs on the roster, whiffing on Smalls, and being eliminated from half our top PSA's lists before summer for UW to finally start an all out assault on draft pick messaging. Great breakdown Dom. Jake Garcia is a top 5 QB in the 2021 class.

You're right. I was referring to Jacob Garcia, Servite LS who visited in November. #toomanyjakesKrunkJuice said:Great breakdown Dom. Jake Garcia is a top 5 QB in the 2021 class.

“This will be the first full week for the coaches on the road. They released a schedule on Twitter recently for who is going where. Here it is
With that in mind, here's what schools we believe each will be hitting in the state they wind up going.
Keith Bhonapha - He'll be in California three of the next four days. He's headed to Arizona on Wednesday and Bijan Robinson is definitely the target he's going to go see in the Grand Canyon State. He'll be in California in the Inland Empire seeing some 2020 and 2021 guys.
https://247sports.com/player/bijan-robinson-46040672
Jordan Paopao - He was in Texas to see some guys, but his trips to California (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) will include trips to see Matt Redman and Ben Yourosek and he'll also visit Jack Yary (Murrieta Valley) and Jake Overman (Servite) at some point. Those are both tight end prospects without offers who could see offers before the end of the month.

https://247sports.com/college/washington/Player/Jake-Overman-46059478/
Jimmy Lake - He'll be in Califonria the first three days of the week and I know that Elijah Jackson will be one of the players he visits and you can expect him to see Makell Esteen as well. Jackson has shot up Washington's list and it wouldn't be a shock to see him wind up a Husky before the end of the month although I think he'll take it closer to the start of his season. I expect his visit to Arizona on Thursday will be to see Kelee Ringo and Lathon Ramsom and he'll be joined by Junior Adams on Wednesday in So Cal to visit St. John Bosco and a couple of other schools.

Junior Adams - Adams was down in Oregon on Thursday and he went and saw Sawyer Racanelli while he was down in the area. He visits Texas this week to see some of the 2020 and 2021 wideouts down in the Lonestar State. His last two days on the road -- Wednesday and Thursday -- will be spent in California where he'll see 2021 St. John Bosco Beaux Collins, one of the top receivers in that class out West. He'll also see Johnny Wilson, Gary Bryant and Jalen McMillan this week too.

Scott Huff - Will be in Arizona all week. He'll be hitting a lot of the schools which are in his area, but he'll also go see Tosh Baker and Noah Nelson. Baker is at the top of Washington's wish list at OL, but every other school in the nation has him there on their list too. Nelson is a guy who I believe the Huskies could get if they wanted him right now, but in my opinion, he's got a few guys ahead of him on Washington's list. He's still a target, but down the list a bit. Huff visited Geirean Hatchett last week as well as another in-state 2020 OL who has started to garner some interest from the Dawgs -- Camas OL Caadyn Stephen.

Will Harris - He'll be in Texas all week. Mostly East Texas (Houston Area), but he'll also visit DBs Ryan Watts and Xavion Alford -- two long-shot DBs who are really, really good and have UW offers. I also have heard he may be visiting a few under classmen who have piqued UW's interest including 2021 Episcopal (Bellaire, Tx.) OL Cullen Montgomery.

Ikaika Malloe - I am not sure if Malloe will make his visits or not. I know he didn't go anywhere last week due to some other stuff that came up outside of football. I'm still making calls and sending texts to get an idea if he'll be heading to Utah this week or not, but as of right now, I'd say it's questionable whether he makes it out this week or not.
Bush Hamdan - He'll be in California all week and I believe he'll be hooking up with Paopao to head to Corona Del Mar to check in on Ethan Garbers and Mark Redman. With Garbers already in the boat, Hamdan becomes the guy who can help out with prospects from a lot of different positions. He'll also be after some 2022 and 2023 signal-callers (yes, believe it or not they get film sent to them on kids in 7th and 8th grade).
https://247sports.com/player/ethan-garbers-46053994
Pete Kwiatkowski - If you want to know who the real targets are at BUCK, keep an eye on where PK heads. He's visiting Princely Umamelien who UW just offered about three weeks ago. Another guy on the itinerary is Drew Sanders, a very talented OLB prospect who just committed to Alabama. He has had high interest in at least visiting Washington, so we'll see if visiting him makes an impression. Probably not, but you have to at least reach out to guys you like even if they're committed to a national power like Alabama. When he flies to California, I expect him to visit Xavier Carlton, who was offered the same day as Umamelien.

Bob Gregory - After two successful cycles, Gregory isn't under the gun with a derth of talent at his disposal, but he needs to continue the momentum. Keep an eye on Carson Bruener. I think he's getting close to an offer. I would bet he needs to make it to Washington's Rising Stars camp before he gets an offer, but you never know. He also might join Lake and Adams at St. John Bosco to see Kourt Williams, but I haven't confirmed that one yet.

Jesus fucking Christ. So now "we" are Doogman's source. Unpaid posters here are now the template for their reporting. On the one hand it is cool that we have posters who can divine things nicely. On the other it is pretty fucking low rent of them to steal that info and give it to people paying monthly subscription fees. The Lemon Party over there never ceases to amaze. I would suggest posting their info over here but it would just be our info repackaged. Fuck those fags.Domicillo said:Jesus Christ Ektard. Make sure you donate to the Wam at least....

That's it for now. As always...when I get more information I can share, I will be sure to do that here. Until then though, have a great week Dawg fans!!!” -

Actually like Caadyn Stephens tape. If they're trying to guarantee themselves a true OT recruit I'd go with him before Persi. Gotta think they're trying to see where they stand with some guys first before they offer, because he might commit pretty quick.

Lol I love Eklunds 'we could get Noah Nelson right now if we wanted him'

That's not fair, he probably didn't get his opinion from himself anyways.Neighbor2972 said:Lol I love Eklunds 'we could get Noah Nelson right now if we wanted him'

Also, interesting how two of the seemingly better recruiters are at the top but Lake is way down.
