Back in the olden days, conservatives knew bashing government was political theatre; conservatives didn't actually behave as if government was the enemy. Ronald Reagan's policies were both pro-government and pro-big government. This was true for him as a Governor and President. The nuts who took over the conservative brand during the past 20 years actually do seem to believe government is the enemy. Of course government will not shrink anytime soon for reasons having to do with math and shit. The only question that really matters is whether we're going to borrow to pay for it or fund it in real time.

This is the lie O'Keefed tells himself in order for him to believe that he still is a conservatives. The "nuts" nominated a moderate in 2012 and you still voted for Obama and then lied to yourself some more by claiming Obama would be more fiscally responsible than Romney.
Romney 2012 was no moderate. He looked unhitched from his moorings pursuing the Presidency—and not merely before he got the nomination. McCain always winked and reminded us who he really was in 2008. Not so Mitt.

Sure if you don't define moderate as William Buckley. Romney was not remotely a conservative. He was W reincarnated. Romneycare for Mass and drugs for greedy gezzers for W. Hell Maverick voted against it.

Romney ran against Romneycare in 2012.

Barry ran against gay marriage. You have a point counselor? I pity your clients.

I made my point, Gasbag. You obviously grasped it too. The adjustment of your medication appears to have worked.

Still pity your clients. You made the point that Romney lied about opposing government healthcare. I made the point about Barry lying about gay marriage. I agree about both points. This is where you admit I wasn't being a gasbag and that Barry lied. Don't hurt yourself.

Mitt was a hot mess. I'm definitely not accusing him of lying, 'cuz I'm not clear where he stands on Romneycare now.

As for Barry's views on gay marriage, who cares? The President's views on marriage aren't relevant in any meaningful way to the rules governing who can marry.

Just because you believe the lies you're telling yourself O'Keefed doesn't mean the rest of us have to.
