UW "Spring Preview" Visitors

Let me get this straight. You're saying that if they sell beer and hot dogs, 40,000 people show up for a Spring Fling?StrongArmCobra said:
This is some loser ass bullshit. College football is a business and in business it's never the customers fault for not showing up. It's their job to motivate fans to show up. Not for fans to show up no matter what even though we're not getting what we want. That's not how you get change. That's how you get complacency. Until we get a fucking Spring game nobody should show up to that practice bullshit. You want change? You boycott shit. Nobody gives a fuck if they tackle or not! It can be thud tempo with just wrapping guys up until the whistle blows or fucking two-hand touch for all I care. But don't act like there isn't a huge fucking difference between a Spring game with alcohol and concession sales, and tailgating, and everything that goes a long with a real college football game compared to that Spring preview practice bullshit. You want to fill the stands in the Fall, you have to work for it and give the customers want they want. You don't ask the customers to "level up". You ask the business to "level up". That's the way the world works.theknowledge said:
I get it, who wants to see a practice, but cmon man. It's thinking like this that gets us our meek 1700 person crowd. TOSU, Oklahoma, Oregon etc all ran scrimmages that didn't involve tackling. No tackling. Who fucking cares what we do. Show up! Watch Eason throw some lasers, watch banked reps throw some pics, watch Trey Lowe be elusive, watch the young receivers try and make sense of our offense, watch the thick thighs of Dick Newton, watch our young and electric secondary. All live, not on a small youtube picture. If you live within 60 miles of Seattle just fucking show up. Christ, level up people! We say we are the best fan base on the west coast and yet we bitch about not being able to see a no tackling scrimmage. Show the fuck up!!! If you live in China like most of our fans then disregard this rant and enjoy the live stream.HuskyJW said:I have a tball game to watch at 10am so can't make it.
Hell....I'd rather watch a tball triple header than a spring game...or spring preview or whatever it's called.
Uh they sold beer and hot dogs at the North Dakota game last year, the weather was sunny, they actually tackled and kept score and people still didn't show up. Sorry Ballz. We'll never be a big time program until the fans decide to become big time. -

Great. They can see 1700 confused fans watch a shitty practice with a situational scrimmage.
WE ARE BIG TIME!!!!

I'm just glad we are getting some good Catholic kids in here.

Beer, hot dogs, market it, and play a fucking college football game, hell yes people will show up. And what are you talking about? The attendance for the North Dakota game was not bad at all for such a nobody opponent. That attendance would have been a sell out crowd in most Pac-12 stadiums.whuggy said:

Sure, and that's why UW has the #1 game attendance in the conference. But there's still room for improvement. Maybe if they showed some fan appreciation and gave the people what they want they'd get more sell out crowds.whatshouldicareabout said:

I can't believe any real fan would miss a free opportunity to see Barry Sanders 2.0.theknowledge said:

Unfortunately I have to attend a 1st birthday party. RSVPed a while ago and I know she will be really sad if I don't show up. -
When is the dirt dawgs/rising stars/whatever weekend? Isnt that our true "big recruiting weekend"?

That's what I thought. You weren't there. If you were you would have noticed a half full stadium. You then would have noticed at halftime 10,000 of that half full stadium left and didn't come back. Get off your sofa and actually go to games. You would then actually be doing something productive for UW football. Pounding your keyboard doesn't help the program "level up".StrongArmCobra said:

That is June. And yes, that is when UW brings in their top targets. Guys who don’t have offers get offers since the coaches finally see them live, and there are usually a few commits.bananasnblondes said:When is the dirt dawgs/rising stars/whatever weekend?
