They used the FISA courts to use the bullshit - that they knew was bullshit - from the Steele Dossier to persuade FISA judges to grant their warrants to spy on Trump's campaign. No judge wants to be wrong in a possible terrorism or national security situation, and they rely on sworn affidavits from lawyers and witnesses as the fig leaf of legitimacy if the shit-storm later blows in or blows up in their faces.

HRC and Comey should be indicted. What they did was far worse and far more corrupt than Watergate. Far worse.

I'm skeptical of that too. And it's going to be a tough one to prove or disprove. Investigations aren't like timed events. It's an on-going thing. In August of 2018 they may not have had any evidence. But we don't know where he was in the process.

I have a hard time believing Mueller had more or less wrapped up his investigation and said, "let's sit on this for a while". Nothing I've ever heard or read about him makes that a likely story. But who knows.
