I'm skeptical of that too. And it's going to be a tough one to prove or disprove. Investigations aren't like timed events. It's an on-going thing. If at the end of the day both sides hate Mueller he probably did his job. I don't put much into this story either. I also don't think Mueller was in on the starting of the investigation that led to him being appointedcreepycoug said:

I think the Hall of Shame types posted here deserve a lot more grief though -

He did have irrefutable evidence of actual Pip's collusion but ignored it and proceeded with process crime investigation's against Trump's associates in a witch hunt. He then tried to get Trump to testify for a perjury trap. Mueller is POS hack.

There's no doubt that the people within the GOP who didn't like Trump didn't feel the need to cooperate with him on account of the belief that he wasn't long for the office. Many of the people who retired in the House did so because they thought Trump was going to be mired in scandal and they'd get crushed in the mid-terms. A full strength Trump would have been much tougher for Ryan to undermine. The political support for Trump would have been stronger from his own party.RaceBannon said:

Not so sure all of Donnie's problems were tied to Russia Probe. Maybe. I don't know. He seemed to stumble a little on his own. Let's face it: the first year or so on the job he was newbie to Washington and barely understood the mechanics of how it even works. No doubt, that if this turns out to have been started the way it's being written in the Tug, that's bad and I can't rationalize it. It's bad for the country and it's a terrible precedent to establish. We'll be a pineapple republic in no time, with fisticuffs on the senate floor and all kinds of crazy shit.
