I guess I don't understand why private schools were even caught with their pants down like this. Aren't their admissions standards the type of thing they can just write whatever policy they want for?

This was definitely the joke back in the day both before, during, and after my time in college. University of $poiled Children. I know USC's admission standards had gone up but I don't understand how legally they are prevented from just taking a big enough check to waive those standards and why all the extra steps of bribery that definitely are illegal. What prevents them from having a special class of "donor, ring of honor" blah blah blah we cut a check for that dormitory wing admission? Federal funding or something?RaceBannon said:
