Demographics in places like LA have shifted. UCLA will always attract top kids but I think the ability to recruit top to bottom talent is easier in the middle of the eastern states.
The roster problems are more indicative of Alford being an idiot than UCLA’s inability to recruit top talent.
But it all boils down to why would He want to take a job in the PAC 12, when He’s dominating what is never worse than the 2nd best conference in America? And usually the best one.
