The difference between the kid at the memorial is there was no battery involved. The assault was committed by Nathan Phillips. The MAGA kid's response was commensurate with the perceived threat. He just stood there and did nothing.
The lefty is going to claim self-defense. But he's still fucked since his response was excessive to the threat offered.
