You always knew, regardless of who was doing the recruiting, that there was a large contingent of very talent recruits that just had no interest in leaving the greater LA area. Also his salary is $5.65 million this year and increases to $7.25 million by 2022 (plus up to $1 mill/year in incentives.) For USC to offer a compelling raise and overcome any possible renegotiation with PSU they would have to offer $8 mill/yr at least.
