I can imagine his mom and dad are literally the sweetest souls and they are in the other side of the house saying to each other "Do you think it's okay that he watches football alone all the time and then films himself ranting for the rest of Satuday? Should he have friends at this age?"CallMeBigErn said: -

Even though I kind of outlined this from the jump, this kid is such a douche. Anyone who makes their own recruiting deadlines and isn’t on JT Tuimoloau’s skill level is a fag and a half. Bruh you told teams to stop talking to you and didn’t contact another school besides USC until the first week of December. I’m usually player apologist guy or let’s kids be kids guy but this is clearly some rat shit and even though I said that from the jump, it still pisses me off and if his brother acts like this, than I can understand why this happened.

Compare his process to the other USC decommit. Told USC after coaching staff changes he wanted not sign during the ESD in to make sure he choose the best fit for him, then later publically decommitted from USC. Then took visits, and like Puca also had a last minute visit to a hype school in ASU over the weekend and then took two days and made a decision to go to Utah.

Why what happened? Don't tear him down yet. You've been tweeting at him religiously because you want him. He hasn't committed anywhere yet. You're going to run out of Jurgens when he commits to UW. Relax, Green Bay.LaMichael_Corleone said:Even though I kind of outlined this from the jump, this kid is such a douche. Once Roof starts being coy again we'll know it's in the bag.
However, Ektard's kiss of death might be too much for this one. -

You're the one being coy because I don't know what it fucking says.jhfstyle24 said:

Can we tell Scott Eklund to never ever say that he feels good about closing a recruit near either signing day periods?

Cliffnotes:
oregon is trying to hire a ttu guy to be their wr coach. A guy who coached at Utah State and recruited Orem. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out the reason. According to roof they aren't willing to pay him what he wants tho.
Also says that Cristobal is from Miami so he pays guys.
Mom says this will likely go until Friday. Kind of seems like she's running the recruitment at this point.

If you didn't know Cristobal paid, you suck.
If you don't see how in his first year, he lands the #1 recruit, who signs and then says something along the lines of "I better get that bag," and you think he isn't paying, I can't help you.
When Puka Nacua's mom was reported by LMC to be running his recruitment for money, then fishy shit makes it seem like that's what she is doing, and all of a sudden Oregon jumps to the top of his list 3 weeks out...
Draw your conclusions. -

My conclusion is this whole money thing is ridiculously overplayed. I'm sure it exists but maybe for 5% or less of the recruiting population. It's just another excuse for having low standards. Jesus good salespeople adapt. If you're competing against someone you suspects pays then sell them on the idea of bigger long term money because you're going to develop them into a higher draft pick.jhfstyle24 said:

Right because the top 5% are noted for long term strategic thinking. They take it as fact that they will get paid big in three yearswhuggy said:

Meantime still need money -
That's why its called sales. Or just roll over. And I have yet to notice any recruit on a visit with holes in their shoes. They might want money, they don't need it. Sell.RaceBannon said:

We're actually advocating to not roll over but thanks for hopping on

Yeah I'm pretty sure Petersen is gonna buy into bagging. Probably already got 3 or 4 layers set up.RaceBannon said:We're actually advocating to not roll over but thanks for hopping on

If you want to play with the big boys
Or we can pretend you're right and 120 years of college football history are wrong and recruits don't get paid
See 1991 - it actually was not just fruit baskets
In fact in the 90's there was a nice rhythm, win a natty go on probation
I bet you think Willie Lyles was telling kids to wait for that big payday the last time UO started getting big name recruits -
Unless you’re into butt stuff and then yes, roll over.RaceBannon said:We're actually advocating to not roll over but thanks for hopping on

Irrelevant. At least for the next 10 years while Petersen is here.RaceBannon said:If you want to play with the big boys

At the moment this is Oregon's top candidate for the WR job. Not an OKG type of name.
And this Biletnikoff producing dick played us for a raise:
His goatee looks like the pubic thatch of an old Armenian prostitute. -

Lol so Cristoball has taken the Romar approach to recruiting. Terrific.dhdawg said:Cliffnotes:

Kim mentioned in a side thread that one of his sources told him about a kid who was paid 350k this cycle to commit. Wouldn’t say the kids name, but said UW offered early but had not been a player in the recruitment for a long time.RaceBannon said:If you want to play with the big boys

I would guess that number got greatly exaggerated through the rumor mill.DoogCourics said:

You can throw that kind of cash around in basketball where you only need one or two players to make a team but in football you need 40+.
Similarly research shows that the higher the number of officials needing to be bribed (think IOC/FIFA) the lower the bribe market rate. -
I knew a kid that committed to a blue chip school, collected $400k then decomitted to another blue chip school and collected $450k and an allowance for his Mom's housing. He had already spent the first money on high end hookers and blow. UW was mentioned for him early on and he drove through Tacoma twice.DoogCourics said:

I can't mention his name or I'd be swimming with the fishes .
